We sat in 60-70 mph winds in Kansas last year. Just pulled in slides and lowered Jacks and sat it out for 2 days. No problem. We are currently in Pacific beach, CA & we sat thru lots of rain & wind the last 3 days with slides out and on Jacks. No problem

Still sitting here rocking. Wish I could measure the sustained wind and gusts here. We're at the Carlsbad KOA -- nothing all around us to block the wind at all.
I can't thank y'all enough for sharing your experiences. It's not fun, but at least I know this happens and we'll survive (I hope...lol. We've never been this far west in our RV. We're from Louisiana and always go east. I am so not used to wind like this in an RV!!!

The Weather Channel for Carlsbad, NM shows 32 gusting to 42. That shouldn't be a problem.

Hi,
My tires are rated for 75 mph. I guess the RV is too! You will be fine up to about 100 mph. I'd get scared at 125 mph.
If you can park with the "nose" into the wind. That will reduce the square footage the wind is pushing on.

I've driven through a microburst. If had not been for the window awnings pulling open, I could probably have continued to cruise along at freeway speed.
I would say just keep the towels handy. Most RVs are not designed to take rain moving sideways.

That might be the wind speeds in the city, but where we are it is much, much higher I can handle gusts to 42...lol.

It's probably from the airport KCNM, not in town.

Maybe not possible. But I have turned ours so the rear of the MH was into the wind, so the wife could relax.
Not funny, but you will be fine and be glad your not on the road.

Been there done that;
My advice is don't plan on getting very much sleep.
Other than being able to face into the wind there is just little you can do I have never heard of a RV turning over that was parked in less than 100+ mph wind.
You will come out of it OK.
