Thanks Dave in TN, we have been researching CG around Williamsburg and had initially liked American Heritage. But my husband being visually reliant on new things was hesitant because their website does not have photos. Seeing your photos has sealed the deal, so to speak.

We are leaving next Wednesday the 10th for Williamsburgh and have reservation for KOA. Check out their web site. We like KOA's because they are usually easiy off and on from interstate. Better call for reservation.

Another vote for AH campground.. Hear it's the best and only visited because of being local. Grocery store and Wal-mart close to CG. Come play in my town.

I just returned home from American Hertitage and it was GREAT ! For the price and location, IMHO there is nothing better ! took a ride through the KOA and Anvil , KOA is nice but almost twice the cost!

Another American Heritage vote here! Stayed there last summer to go to Bush Gardens and to Williamsburg! Nice sites, very nice and clean bath houses, and quiet!

One more vote for American Heritage. I spent one week there back in mid-April. It was great. The concrete pad that our 5er was on was perfectly level. I was there a couple of days before I realized that all I had to do with my bagged garbage was leave it out by the road in front of my RV and they would come by and pick it up. Never had that happen before.
It is located a little bit away from most everything but DW and I found that we could get to Colonial Williamsburg or James Town in about 10-15 minutes. Yorktown took longer but is a very nice drive.
Enjoy.

Dave in TN, excellent photos of American Heritage, we have always stayed at Travel Park in VA Beach, but next summer we will stay at American Heritage for the closeness to everything in Williamsburg.

I have stayed at American Heritage many, many times and have always had a great experience. The campground is kept clean and the bath house is immaculate. We are currently staying at American Heritage now and am not happy. There are several seasonal/full time campers and one of them leaves for work at 7am on his motorcycle. He has the same uniform that the security people wear at Busch Gardens so I assume he is a summer hire because I have never experienced this before and he has been here everytime that we have camped. He is not quiet by any means and revs the trottle all of the way out of the campground. I haven't been too happy at being awakened at 7am. Several other campers have also voiced complaints about it. Hope they do something to correct this problem or I will find another campground.
