I'm looking hard at this and the Yamaha 2400. Searched all over and haven't seen much feedback on the Boliy since mid 2009. Before that it seemed most of the feedback was about cheap parts and bad QA. Maybe lack of feedback since mid 2009 means they have worked the kinks out??

Anyone have one of the new 4th generation Boliy generators?? Feedback??

I Have one works good and very quiet on econ mode . It is the electric start model. Have not had any problems the few times I have used it maybe 2 hrs on it.
Bought on ebay made offer $900 http://cgi.ebay.com/Boliy-PRO3600SIE-3300-W-Elec-Start-Inverter-Generator_W0QQitemZ370323677551QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item563902e16f

guy was quick to ship , fed ex in 3 days. put in Mobil 1 oil and filled gas , hit the button for about 15 seconds and it fired up. with just converter and tv running it stays on econ mode. and you can't hear it inside camper. With a/c or electric heater it bumps up in rpm and gets louder. still not as loud as contractor model

Thanks for the feedback Hard3. Price seems right compared to the big 2.

Hoping someone around has used a Boliy hard for several month and can provide a good summary.

Boliy is interesting. I have tried to follow along with the reports of various Inverter gensets. On the Boliy the Inverter is said to be of German design. The Germans are known for the most advanced technology in Microprocessors. So, the main question might be, 'is the engine of good quality?". Some difference in dependability seens to exist with the Chinese Chonda made by various mfg. Perhaps someone will come through with a fact check.

I bought two of the 3600 pro, one for myself and one for the BIL. Mine runs our 15K newer A/C fine but his will not run his older 15K unit in 90 degree weather. His unit is a Carrier with a hardstart capacitor installed and we still can't get it to run the A/C in hotter than 90 degrees.
Overall I can't complain about the genny. It's quiet and does all I want it to do. We got the red ones and I did the small mods to them that are on this website to make them bug free.
I had a Honda 2000 years ago and then went to the Kipor 3500, which I still have. It runs flawlessly although at 132# it's kind of tough getting it into the truck but I can do it. The boliy is much lighter, a little louder but not much. Whatever mood I'm in is which genny goes with us that trip, this two month trip the Boliy got the nod. Came in handy a couple weeks back with our little tornado here in Blythe, CA. The park was out of power for 24 hours but we were'nt.

I have one and I bought it from rec-direct. Had it for 2 months and have 6 hours on it. I bought it to run everything in my RV, incl A/C, and it does that just fine.

Quiet and sips gas. 75lbs is nice too!

Rec-direct was fine to work with. I also (my fault) broke the plastic housing on the exhaust side. Emailed rec-direct, they had a replacement and sent it to me.

Service centers? Only a few now. If you buy one, keep the shipping box just in case !

This new genset has a lot of tradeoffs. For me, there are more positives than negatives.

I purchased one on eBay 5 days ago - the 2009 electric start model. Did a Best Offer of $900 and it was accepted. Should receive it any day. I figure I took a chance, but I do that quite often with Harbor Freight and other things and so far I think I'm ahead. We'll see with this too!

Can you elaborate on the "small mods"?

I'm really happy with mine, only thing I did was put in synthetic oil . Filled up the gas and hit the start button. cranked about 15 seconds and fired right up.
Don't waste your money (25$) on the cover. It is really cheap made and there is nothing to hold it on the generator. It would blow off going down road. I'm having a draw string sewed into it. I would have been better off to have a cover made from better material.
