Workhorse is losing business so fast now, that Winnebago is not using any Workhorse chassis (including the front diesel) on any of their 2011 lineup.

Another 400.00 shot The moderator of the Workhorse forum I belong to says the final recall should start September or November. I will believe it when it happens. (IF IT HAPPENS.) THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS TO HAVE GONE THIS LONG. My recall letter states all W20 - W22 Chassis built from July 24 through December 19 2007 Recall # 50901-C

As for W/H thay were bought by Navistar to get the pusher chassis. That wasn't working out so thay bought out Monico to get the Spartan chassis. Thay may not care a lout about what happens to W/H

I have an 03 Adventurer on the Work HOrse...My unit is on the "brake" list, but all it is on..they seemed to have lost interest in the problem since they announced it...I haven't had any problems as of yet (knock on wood) and I hope the good luck continues...If I had it to do over again...it would be a Ford chassis. and I say that because the way Workhorse has handled the brake problem...they have lost one customer (ME)

When I purchased my 2005 in 2009, the dealer replaced the front rotors and pads due to "cracking" in the rotors.
A bit over a year later, and 8,000 miles, while having my tires changed I had the brakes checked...rotors and pads were fine...lucky me.
I try to use my breaks as little as possible, within reason. On grades I always use my grade-brake on the Allison, never ride my brakes down the hills. So basically I try to baby them without compromising safety. I increase my following distance even MORE than just "coach" distance, again to go easy on the brakes.
That being said, yeah, WH and now Navistar have been very negligent in the manner that they've handled this recall.

Workhorse is loosing for more reasons. Workhorse is out of gas engines. And front diesel are not that popular with RV'rs. The Ford Chassis is the ONLY gas chassis currently available.
BTW, I am happy with my WH. Never had a brake issue at all. I never had any problems with my coach other than little waer and tear stuff.

I know all of that....Workhorse had it's head in the sand too long denying brake problems and putting the blame on the consumer....Winnebago is doing good dropping that dog and going with Ford!!!!
