What wrong with that? I got the x. They work good. Never had a problem. If you forget and leave them on, expect to replace them or replace a tire/s. They are designed to hold/stabilize the trailer in place. Anything else, they are subject to damage. (like getting yanked by T.V.). If i forget and i pull away. Shame on me. If i try to return them damaged, hence "the claim" will appear in the next package.

Buy Rotochoks and be do with it, these are the best thing to keep your camper in place, First thing on and last thing off. I do recheck mine after awhile, sometimes when the tires cool down they might need a little retightning. Is that a word ?

I don't believe you people...CYA, covering their a**, licking electrical outlets and etc. If I bought a set of these Deluxe Tire Chocks I would have every expectation that they would perform the job of a tire chock.
If the manufacture includes a warning not to be used as a tire chock, then they are not suitable for that job. Has nothing to do with lawsuits or stupid people.

I use them as a chock all the time. Hook, unhook whatever. I am more surprised at the people I see using NOTHING or using 5.00 dollar chocks from wally world. 50,000 dollar rig and a 5.00 dollar chock?

Well, I've been using them as my only "chocks" for 3 years with no problems. I leave them in place for the pull test. Never had a failure. If I was on a severe incline, I'd probably add a conventional chock for added safety, but I've never my trailer move after putting them on.

There's lots of people on here using them as chocks with no problems. You might want to consider their experience also.

OK

I just bought one of those fancy yellow chocks at Wally world and as I recall it was less than 4 bucks.

I also have a BAL Deluxe Tire Locking Chock and use it WITH the regular tire chocks. It seems to stabilize the 5er better than if I didn't use it, I know, I've not used it and "felt" a difference, a little less movement inside. (main reason I use the tripod also). The instructions to remove the locking chock before moving the rv is, for want of a better phrase, called "idiot proofing", just to make sure it is a "given", as stated earlier, the manufacturer is trying to cover "all bases" to probably keep from being sued in case damage did occur due to someone forgetting to remove the locking chock.

The landing gear will keep the trailer from moving but you put significant stress on the landing gear when you back into the pin. I always have my roto-chocks solidly in place before hitching up. No way am I taking a chance of bending the landing gear.

I'll also vote for the Roto Chocks. It solved all my problems, and built very tough.
