I've seen a number of these homemade "rotochocks" but using a ratchet strap is the slickest one of the bunch. I'm guessing this one should work good. I have rotochocks and love them.

In my opinion, stevesmith81 doesn't understand the engineering aspects of this concept. This type of chock locks the wheels better than anything else.

This is really spooky...are you a mind reader?? I read a post where somebody else made their own chocks using wood and a long bolt between the two pieces. They had to use a wrench to tighten a nut that pulled the two wood pieces together. I was telling a friend about this and that I had an idea to do something similar but use a ratching strap instead because I didn't want to carry a wrench to tighten the bolt.

Interesting how you used 3 pieces of wood to position the strap. When thinking about my design I kept debating how to get the strap through the wood because I knew the strap needed to be near the center to work properly.

Nice job!
