I have a grey Permatech bedliner in my truck. Seemed like a neat idea at the time. However, now it is getting darker and looking ugly. In hind-site, I would have done it in black or charcoal. Then I wouldn't have this problem.
The change in color is not due to truck useage. I scrub the bed each time I wash the truck. It is apparently due to the sun. You would think it would get lighter due to fading but it is actually getting darker.
Does anyone know of some kind of spray paint that I can use on the bedliner. I'm looking for something reasonably tough.
I understand that paint might wear off but I am prepared to touch up on a regular basis. I just want to get rid of the ugly color I now have.
Thanks for any help.

I would consider a urethane paint to match. That's what I did on my truck, but it wasn't in the bed. I had light blue LineX sprayed on the farings and hood (to cover all the chips and dings) then painted with Dupont urethane to match the truck paint. The first paint coat wasn't heavy enough and the LineX yellowed and showed through. Since the LineX was light blue, it turned green and really showed through the blue paint. LineX repainted it and it looks fine. It is very durable.

Rhino liner sells a black liquid in a squeeze bottle that restores spray on coatings. It is applied with a paint brush. I used it on my pick up and it made it look brand new. You may want to visit the company that applied the spray on for you.

I wish I'd been the guy that invented those things. Personally I've never had much use for them. If your original painted bed gets scuffed or scratched, it can be repainted for a lot less $$$ than what a spray-in liner costs. Some of the earlier ones were horrible. Turned a milky grey color. Whenever we take a trade-in that has a discolored spray-in liner, we usually throw a drop-in liner on top of it. Not many other options other than actually painting over the spray-in liner, and then that paint is going to chip off pretty fast. Yup, I know many disagree with me, but I prefer the ORIGINAL look of a painted bed. I'll re-paint if I need to, and keep a rubber mat in it if I worry about things sliding around.

I have to agree with "turninghawk". If I had it to do over again, I would repaint the bed when necessary. Unfortunately I can't turn back the clock.

I had a spray in liner installed when they first came out. Went from black to gray to a chaulky white. Never have another one.

Here is a product that will restore the color and help protect your bedliner from the elements. It is similar to Armor All, but it contains no silicone or other slippery ingredients. I have used it, and I recommend it.

Urethane/epoxy type paints are mixed with a catalyst just before spraying; therefore, they aren't available in spray cans. However, you probably could buy the paint and catalyst and use it with one of those little sprayers that attach to a can of compressed air. I've use the little sprayers for touch up of repairs on a different vehicle. I've found those sprayers in most auto paint stores. They are pretty small to paint a large area.
