Piece of cake. Since the tongue weight alone would be about 675,000 lbs try putting it on a modified ocean going tug boat connected to a modified fifth-wheel, with the trailer on a super tanker. You wouldn't have to worry about wheels, axles or blowouts. The only problem would be backing it into a space at your favorite campground. They grow things big in Texas, but I'm not sure that big.

Not that big in Texas...!!
I could put that in my front yard with room for bbq to spare.!

Haven't gotten it registered yet because I can't move it to get it weighed and inspected. I looked for a truck this weekend but nothing bought yet. I'll end up buying the truck in the next few weeks then moving the trailer down to Texas so I can do what they want.

houtrz, sounds like you survived the winter. Of course with a trailer that heavy I would check to see if all that snow and ice melted off, lol. I sometimes wonder if you have to turn in your brain to get a job with the motor vehicle licensing branch. Glad to hear the winter didn't do you in.

Frank - in re: "Sinking, sinking" - (and the above quoted)

Some just read the OPs post (or thread title) and reply,
. . . others read *most/all* of the posts before doing that.

Ya gotta admit - the title is a little "offbeat".

Think everybody has been guilty of that at one time or another.

Stay calm!

Instead of registering it in Brazoria, try Polk county. I would call the clerks office there as they have way more experience with these types of situations than any other county. The reason being that Escapees is headquartered in Livingston there. What I do is use the Escapees Mail address as my official address for registration even though I have my house in Harris county. That way I can use Polk for stuff like this with no problems.

Anyhow bottom line is when I brought my trailer into texas to get it registered, I did not get it weighed. Seems to me the girls there gave a special form to exempt it from the inspection as it was located out of state at the time of registration. This allowed me to make declarations to get it registered, instead of the inspection. I can't remember the exact details but the bottom line is I never got either trailer weighed to register it in Polk County, TX. Give them a call. You can find the number on the Escapees web site under the links area somewhere. Because so many escapees are not physically present in TX, yet have their registration there, if it can be done those people at Polk will get it done. I suspect a picture of the Gross weight on the vehicle VIN plate will suffice for them.

Hope that helps

Both states recruit from INDIA, they out source their work, and that's way out!

My trailer has NEVER been registered.
When I bought it I paid cash so I have a clear title to it.
Since I was going to register it in Texas at some point down the road,
the dealer told me to just pay the sales tax in Texas when I registered it.

So to clear it up, I bought a brand new trailer last October and paid cash for it.
I NEVER paid sales tax on it and it WAS NEVER registered IN ANY STATE. Its sitting here in Lima
Ohio with a clear title and no registeration or taxes paid.

Now I"m trying to get the taxes paid in Texas along with registering it in Texas but I"m running into issues because the trailer is now considered 'used'. Not the end of the world but I figured they would be glad to take my cash but apprantly not.
