I just installed a new Lorado Roll-up Tonneau Cover by Agri-Cover, same folks that make Access roll-up - on my 03 Ram short box. Got it for $429 delivered, took 4 days to get here. From Truck Stuff USA. Also included a free tailgate seal kit, not too sure about that yet. The cover works great.

Extang express. Tonneu cover that rolls up with all the bars and bows staying attached to the cover when it rolls up. No parts to hassle with. I love mine, and much cheaper than a hard roll-up.

I have the Retrax and do the same as stated above. After 6 years sitting in the hot CA sun, still looks as good as new.

You (the OP) didn't state long or short bed.
I have a Fold-A-Cover on a short bed. When it's in the "stacked" position -at the front of the bed- the front of the trlr *may* not clear, so I remove it when towing.

I agree JC.

My Fold-A-Cover in towing position is 7" to the top of the locking clamps (outer edges) with a 3 3/4" panel stacked height.

I have 11" of clearance so height is not an issue, but it could be for some.

I have a different problem, sun and heat. After three years my hinge seals were split wide open and 6 months later the lock covers broke off.

Having a short bed, the Fold-A-Cover seemed like an excellent choice as it uses no bed area in front of the hitch as the roll up covers do. The heat however ruined that experience.

Well I like my Rugged Cover it folds up & works for me.

Know which one you are getting now? Look at the bright side no one has said any thing bad about the cover they have. So all you need to do ask how fancy do I want to get? There are several Folding ones like mine that cost around $400 and if or when you take it off {I have not} it leaves no trace that it was there. To one guy said all he did was push a button & it would open & close but most likely cost more than $400 so the ? now is how much do you want to spend?

Another Roll n Lock here. Can be used in multiple positions; very well made.

Not particularly cheap, but I have the Jack Rabbitt, Full Metal Jacket. It's powder coated, sturdy and locks.

I use a Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit cover. I like their customer service help as well.

Rolls up and out of the way when towing, and closes and locks when not.

Update -
My cover came apart down by the lock bar one day when I was at work. I looked into buying repair parts, and will end up replacing the cover with another. I haven't decided which one, but am leaning away from Pace Edwards due to cost of cover and replacement parts.

I am considering the Retrax or RollBAK covers.
