A 2 year user of the Extang Trifecta and happy with it, would buy another if needed to. They don't say waterproof, but I have never had water in the bed. If you needed to take it off, it removes with the turning of two screws. Only draw back is that it doesn't lock up, but that was not a concern for me.

Another Truxedo user.

We had a minor issue on two occasions, and both times the factory was right there to solve it.

When comparison shopping, be sure to check manufacturer's warranties.

I have a quad fold hard cover from Advance Cover in Grand Rapids MI. It is strong enough to walk on, but folds so it does not interfere with the 5er. With the lock built into the 2500HD tail gate, it provides some degree of security.

Fold-A-Cover for me! I like that it covers the hitch when not being used and when towing, makes a great place to keep the fire wood dry.

I have a Bedlocker cover and it's great. It's electrically powered and I can close it up to the hitch when towing to keep things secure in the front of the bed. Then when the trailer is off I just push a button and it closes up for full security.

I have a Retrax bed cover. You can move it to any position and lock it there. I move it just past my hitch when towing and lock it ito place, then when I unhook I slide it back to fully cover the bed. It is waterproof, so anything in your bed stays dry when it is fully slid back. Not the cheapest, but I sure do like it.

You (the OP) didn't state long or short bed.
I have a Fold-A-Cover on a short bed. When it's in the "stacked" position -at the front of the bed- the front of the trlr *may* not clear, so I remove it when towing.
I like the cover, but if I had to do it again - it would be
a different style.

Extang Trifecta here as well. Had a roll up one that snapped on to the rails before that and it was a PIA. Love the Trifecta.
