TV weighs. At speed you always want the trailer to break harder and before the tow vehicle (except on wet roads)unless you want the trailer pushing or maybe passing you.
On wet or slick roads you should reduce both boost and speed,to reduce chance of trailer breaks locking.
A correct setting for 20mph will not work for me at 65mph.
The boost settings are adjustable for this reason.
However you describe it, I don’t want to be responsible to change it. I had that problem with the SurePull DigiTrak controller that came with my truck. I’d adjust it for the highway, then get in a traffic jam and adjust it down, then speed up and have to adjust it again . . . no way I want to do that again. If I’m not hooked to my 5er and I’m traveling at highway speed I hit the brake harder than I do in the city. I want to do the same thing when I am hooked up to my 5er. I want the controller to know what braking power I’m asking for without touching anything but the brake pedal.

To each their own as far as the boost setting goes but no matter what the boost setting is it will not drive the brakes harder then the max manual setting you set into it. I set mine at 8.5 with no boost. On the highway if I have to get on my brakes the Prodigy senses the inertia change and applies up to 8.5 to my brakes and I stop without fear of the trailer pushing me or the brakes locking up and switching ends with the TV. My trailer tops out at 7000 which is lite for many of the 5ers in this forum but it works great.
Set it and forget it.
