RE: Help newbie with converter questions please

Plan B for the fan noise is to relocate the converter. May not be as hard as it looks. On an old Shasta I moved it to the underside of the coach in a protected metal box.The down side was rembering to open the lid to let the cooling fan work.

RE: what's true

If you have drum brakes and a star wheel chances are they are not self adjusting, unless it has the tension arm accross the star wheel. If you have the new DICOR discs they are not adustable.

RE: How do you secure your breakaway cable to your hitch?

In some states it is not correct protocol to connect it to the hitch.I swapped the top rt license screw with a eyelet thru bolt.It all falls in the grey area like crossing safety chains. If its a slow crime day, CHIPS will pull you over and find something wrong.

RE: A Question about Keys & Locks on TT's

What I strongly recomend to all my friends is to take your locks to a locksmith and have them redo the locks and cut new keys.Or if its in your budget replace the locks with electric locks. This is especially important if you store your TT at a storage yard.

RE: Can hand rails be installed inside a shower?

I second the suggestion of the handle with suction cups. I also have a towel bar with suction cups. Not worth the hassle of intalling bolts and have them leak later in life.

RE: TTs that Come with Generators

Get the TT that fits your needs and budget. Then get a generator to compliment the unit.My experiance with built ins has not been favorable for many reasons some the gen, some the operators. Get a Honda or Yamaha and you will not regret it.Plus it will be a lot less expensive.

RE: New TV advice

I am a die hard oil burner fan if you are towing over 5k.Of late I have been looking to upgrade from my o1 Duramax. I like the Ford but people I spoke with are down on the psd.The urea is an expensive pain.So the only fix is a Dodge.Since I tow 10k regularly, ecoboost is a waste.

RE: Running wires through the floor

I am lost in the experiance, Why 2. Use the chasis as a ground. If you run them under the floor run them in a Pvc pipe and then terminate the pipe with elbows at the floor.

RE: Wall mounted fan?

Got mine at Walmart. Before you buy, choose the location for installation,I keep mine at the far end, this gives me good circulation and less noise.
