We have Dish at primary home and love it. We bought a winter townhome in az and travel there twice yr. We ordered a 'move' from dish and they came out and installed a 'new' dish and cable for free in az. so we bring the reciever back and forth, easy. Then we call Dish when we arrive to location and tell them to change zip codes so we get 'locals'. No extra charges! Love Dish.

We have had the Verizon MIFI for a year now and love it! We live in MN (out in the sticks) and travel to AZ twice a year and have never had a problem. I use my laptop while hubby drives and its awesome. i have the 3 gb. If by chance i use it more then 3 gb, another gb is added for only $10 that month. no problem. I repeat 'I love it, and its simple enough for hubby to use :)

Hello, you'll love your new phone. we just upgraded to a Tracfone LG800 triple Minutes)going to get rid of landline, hopefully.If your familiar with You Tube , go there and put in your phone model etc. and you can find visual instructions. very helpful.

I was having a problem with laptop. For some reason it was running very slowly when looking at different sites on the internet. I went into task manager and looked at the processes that were running. It seems that McAfee real time scanning was taking up between 65% and 95% of my cpu. When I go into McAfee and turn off realtime scanning, my laptop runs like a r&ped ape. I could not believe the differnce in the speed of my pc. McAfee always seems to be doing something- downloading updates, installing updates (these would almost lock my hard drive completely in busy mode) or doing something else. My pc came with McAfee installed, but you can be assured that when my license expires, I will not renew. I will use AVG in the future.Thanks for the information. my desk top pc has been screwed up for years. Slow is a understatement!Sure enough I checked and McAfee was installed. (and i was using Norton) I uninstalled the McAfee and BAM, all the problems were solved.Thanks a million!

And to boot with Verizion if you have ever served in the Military they give you the government pricing.
Yep, me too. Then I got a letter from VZ stating they were in error for giving a discount on the data plan. They are nice enough to honor the discount until my contract period ends and then the discount goes away.
You will still receive a military discount on the phone lines.Samething happened to us.

Knock on wood! We've had the Vz MIFI for a year and never had ANY issues with it. we travel from MN to AZ twice a yr. and never a problem. LOVE IT!

I don't know. On last months bill we got, I had it. Haven't had a bill lately to check.
What did they say was in error other than "in err
or"?
We were getting the 15% discount on the data for MIFI. Verizon said the discount is only good on thier cell phone service, not MIFI data plan.they said we should never have got the discount. Oh boy.

I live 11 miles from the Canadian border. I can see the American tower from the deck of my house. I have been charged 4-500 bucks for roaming and it was a real fight to get them to remove the charges. I went with the mifi and they said there would never be any roaming charges.Bad part is, I gave up my unlimited plan but with my veteran discount, even if I go over the 5GB, I'll still be cheaper than what I was paying. So far, so good.
If there ever is any roaming, I will start a class action suit against VZ and I have a lawyer friend that will help.
If you get charged and VZ says you have to pay, hang up and call again. If you don't get the results you want, hang up and call again. Keep doing this until you get results.
