RE: Transfer switch

Did I suggest switching from Shore Power to Genset while under LOAD?
Or vice versa?
Unless you turn OFF the main breaker in the coach, there is always a load. Charger, fridge, anything plugged into an outlet etc.

RE: electrical problem

Do you have a cord reel? It could be the "contacts/brushes" in the reel.
If not, then the Transfer Switch is the most likely culprit.

RE: Buying a MH - Advice for a newbie? Good decision?

According to NADA, depending on the model, it's either priced just right, or, too high.
Go to the link, and select the model, then you can see the price.
And I agree with too few miles could mean "Lot Rot"

Same engine on all 3? That would make a big difference!

RE: Onan 7500 generator exhaust question

They will do that if you have a very light load on it. Turn on a heater, or all a/c units, and really load it, I bet the soot goes away.

RE: Tandem Tow Dolly

You could probably pick up a used dolly, and have it modified by a local shop.

RE: Tow Dolly

.....towed empty great, a little bouncy but no sway
Hint, if you need to tow the Dolly empty again, lower the tire pressure to say, 30 psi. No bounce that way, just remember to increase the pressure again, before you tow a car on it.
To the OP, I second Kar Kaddy SS.

RE: RV Electrical Problems

With the power unplugged, check your breaker panel. Tighten all connections, they become loose with bumping/jarring. Look at the wires, look for problems like you already found, burnt/discolored ends. Other than that, and checking the voltage readings, you're good to go.

RE: RV Electrical Problems

Just to clarify. He says GFCI keeps blowing, not the breakers. Yes he's pulling too much for the cord he's using, but why the GFCI? and not the breakers?
