RE: CAREFREE AWNING PROBLEM

It most likely happened(got unbalanced) from side to side, while the awning was down, the wind blew the whole thing to one side, it is only off about a 1" at most, this did happen to mine also, had the same problem.
with the awning open, stand facing awning/trailer and pull just the bottom of awning to the side that rolls up loose, it should slide fairly easy in the track, then roll up and see if it is pulled far enough, repeat as neccessary to get both ends rolled tight.

RE: Help! 245/75/16 on 16x6.5 trailer wheel???

Yes SnowKing, 90psi is a pressure rating, but for the tire not the rim,,, I do believe the rims wil only be rated for 80 psi.OP says in 3rd post he has had tires on standby until he found rims, tires are 3100lbs @90 psi,

RE: A/C and day shades

I did my replacement with a local co. that had a forklift, did all the prep work at home , ready for removeal, etc, and then towed camper to business and removed old and put up new, just enough securing to get it home to finish it properly.
Day shades are cheap enough, throw them out and buy new

RE: Calculating towing capacity

No 2 air bags, they dont INCREASE the Weight u can carry, the only make it more stable to carry, the only way to gain more weight carrying ability is to make thicker alxes, like a 3/4 ton,1 ton truck.
If u have to much pin weight, while you are on the scale, take something from the front of the fifth wheel and move it to the back, you will see the scale weight change while u are sitting on the scale and can adjust more/less as needed

RE: How many miles a day ?

Sir, I applaud your sense of humor, and can laugh at yourself, nothing else u can do, as far as how much driving per day, ONLY u can answer that question, no one on here knows your physical/mental ability, vehicle cond, road cond, etc.

RE: Do we really need all that light?

I'll probably be out camping this year too, I'll have the site with as much light as the the transformers will allow without blacking out the surrounding city. And now with the LED lights, boy will I put on a display this year

RE: Plumbing Question

how do u winterize your unit, directly at the water pump? Meaning do u take off the hose from the water pump and stick a 4ft piece of hose and run it into antifreeze bottle? If u did this(I did) and didnt replace the hose clamp tightly on fresh water hose it will suck air and run, also on end of pump is the filter screen/check valve that was also loose, jsut needed tighting

RE: Winter time trip- need help!

drive the car, cheaper than truck, or rent car, cheaper than truck, most speed limits are faster in single vehicle vs towed units, stay in hotel, most hotels will allow pets carried in, in a carrier, much easier than trying to get fiver there for short stay

RE: Truck Camper on a 5th wheel hauler?

U dont need to have anything covering the rails, they are STEEL something laying on the rails will not hurt STEEL, Dont believe me, go out and whack the metal with a hammer, you wont hurt STEEL,the weight of the camper is dispersed across the whole bed of the truck. Your rails are bolted through the bed and attached to the frame, u wont hurt anything
