RE: Nitrogen in tires

So if one converts to nitrogen one then doesn't have to do the summer and winter air changes in the tires.

RE: Waterton and BANFF NP thoughts

For a change, how about coming across all the way in Canada to Edmonton on CAN 1, then to Jasper and down to Banff and Waterton. I don't know what "CAN 1" is. If you mean the Trans Canada, the closest it gets to Edmonton is about 330 klicks south of Edmonton., Calgary. Vic

RE: Dealer invoice

well I tried to join about 2 hours ago. Received message on the web that I would receive an e-mail with the access code, quite normal. Not so normal, still no access code! Was going to do a little study on the mark-up %'s by dealer from dealer invoice to MSRP and concurrently the appropriate mark-down %'s. Will do if I ever get a reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers; Vic On Edit: It is just over hours since I tried to register and still no reply> Kinda Hinky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Am I getting scammed?

Have you looked at this toy hauler yet? Why would you be concerned with buying something that you don't know if it is real or not? If you look at it it should have a sticker on it telling information about the date of manufacture along with weights both net and gross and information on things like tires and axles. Can you tell the difference between an RV and a cargo trailer? What stupid questions! OF COURSE I'm concerned, that's why I'm asking the forum. Would YOU want to buy something fake? I said upfront I haven't looked at it yet, read the post before making comments like this. And yes, nitwit, I know the difference between an RV and a cargo trailer. And,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, that rebuke was desereved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vic

RE: Newbie Question About Tank Sizes

Somehow it was determined that one of the waste tanks had to be 30gallons. Don't understand that. Then, rather than reinvent the wheel the decision was made to imply use the same size tank for the other effluent tank.

RE: blue sky rv insurance

Having worked in accounting for a number of years, too many to tell you right now, anything with "Blue Sky" in it deserves specially scrutiny. There are, what they call, Blue Sky laws on the books for good reason, people try to sell you nothing for something and it's called Blue Sky. I'n not saying that's your case, but from the posting of n5lfh, sounds like you need to take a closer look at them, or any other insurance company you choose to utilize. Might even check with your state insurance division. Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another name for blue sky in the accounting world is goodwill! Vic C.A.

RE: GPS

Not a recommendation of what to buy but a recommendation on what not to buy. I have a BombBomb (TomTom) that has given me grief since the day I took it out of the box. Their customer service???? is out sourced to India. You can picture how well that works. I am also in the research phase and my conclusion to this point is Garmin. Two things you may want to put on your want list is lifetime map updates included and a trucker based system. This will deal with height clearance, etc. Cheers; Vic

RE: Out of Propane - Any Issues?

John K, you have nothing to worry about. Forget about tank draining, no worries about air getting in (regulator is a one way valve)and just purge the gas from the lines as Brett said. My propane delivery is here now $$$$$$:E And, the OPD valve is closed unless the proper connector is on the tank the centre pin of which opens the OPD valve. Nothing can get in the tank with the OPD closed.

RE: tire covers

What about that corrugated roof material made of fiberglass? The stuff that is often used in construction of home green houses. Easy to cut, easy to put pieces together, doesn't need any paint, easy to store, easy to clean and just about bulletproof! Fasten together with stainless steel bolts and nuts. Mount a steak of some kind on the base inside and simply put cover up under wheel well and then push the stake in the ground. If on hard surface two large bean bags would secure the cover in place. RE: MH Parking Surface Prep

You best check out the railway ties first. Those old ties were generally treated with creosote. That stuff is nasty and there may well be a ban on using the ties. Vic Here is a reference to the creosote issue. Not very nice stuff. We should be trying to keep this toxin out of the environment not burying it so that it can leach into the ground, ground water and the atmosphere. There are number site references at the foot of the article that further define the toxic nature of creosote. Vic http://waterquality.montana.edu/docs/wqfaqarchives/wq_faq_3.shtml

RE: Stupid and dangerous?

Well if I tried a stunt like that, it would be over pretty quickly. My bride would start with a question about the bike coming ahead of her and then proceed from there. My responsibility in the conversation would be to listen,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and duck! Vic

RE: Canada RV

I can't imagine getting anything cheaper up here in Canada in R.Vs.You cannot register a unit in Saskatchewan which means a license if you don't have a Saskatchewan drivers license.in order to license a unit in Saskatchewan you have to prove you paid Sask. sales tax.Maybe you can get a temp. permit to leave the Province. The stated driver license requirement seems a little strange to me. How does a rental company register a fleet of rental trailers? The following web address will get you the information on what happens relative to a trailer being exported to the US. Will likely have a condition that the trailer not be licensed in Canada. Vic
