RE: Led lights..... finally happy.

This is where I purchased the LED interior lights for my 2006 Bigfoot camper ... Ceiling lights - http://www.ledtrailerlights.com/rv/RV-1141.htm Reading lights on each side of bed and range top light - http://www.ledtrailerlights.com/rv/RV-T10-wedge-compact.htm I noticed right away that battery drain was significantly reduced. Could not be happier!

RE: New TC'er-Boondocking, Water, Energy, Warranty, Theft

Even the rest stops that say 'no overnight parking' and have guards are not a big deal. Just ask the guard if it is OK to get some sleep for a few hours. Only problem I had was a guard told me in Fla 'no deploying' ...Rest stops with guards? Just another reason I would not go within 1,000 miles of FL. I only travel out West and have never heard of such a thing. Never seen a "guard" anywhere I've ever stayed. If a place needs a guard, I don't want to be there! Let the teeming masses discombobulate FL and leave the wide-open spaces of the western US to me!

RE: The "ZEN" of Boondocking.

Eventually we ended up in Lyman Lake State Park about 2 hours after dark. We could say Zen had finally kicked in at this point. We woke in the AM to a beautiful lake, hiking trails, and a very user friendly park. RickSorry, no Zen now at Lyman Lake SP ... closed until June 17th. Apparently open only 4 months a year. Does look good though.

RE: Covercraft Snap-Ring TireSavers

Thanks for feedback - sounds great! I'll probably take a chance and order 2 pair. At $16.50 each with free shipping, they're pretty cheap!

RE: Covercraft Snap-Ring TireSavers

How difficult would it be to remove the spring-steel snap ring? Has anyone found the TireSavers product in a brick-and-mortar store where the product may be examined before purchase? Thanks again!

RE: Covercraft Snap-Ring TireSavers

I don't store them in the RV....I leave them in the garage at home while the RV is in use......Might be a way to remove the metal snap ring and fold up the cover for storage......:)Thanks for the feedback. I'm a full-timer so I must store and carry them with me at all times. Thus my storage concern. Do you happen to recall how the tire covers were packaged when you purchased them? Was the spring-steel snap ring already installed in the cover? If so, how was it packaged and how big was the box? Thanks again!

Covercraft Snap-Ring TireSavers

Has anyone here purchased and used the Covercraft Snap-Ring TireSavers? They are different from the type that uses grommets and bungees to hold the cover in place. Instead they use a spring-steel ring design to hold the cover in place on the tire. This supposedly eliminates the need to crawl around on the ground to secure with bungee cords and/or other hardware. Sounds good - but my concern is how much storage space do they require? Since they have the "spring-steel ring" embedded in the cover, they obviously can't be folded up or easily stuffed into a bag or storage compartment. Seems like they would have to be stored completely in the same "open" shape as when they're mounted on the tire. If anyone can enlighten me concerning this issue I'd greatly appreciate. Gracias, Rob
