RE: route co.springs to grand junction,co

taking 50 is scenic but you'll definitely hit some grades, especially Monarch Pass...it'd be faster to take 70 off of 470 like a previous poster said, just time it early so can avoid most of the traffic out of Denver & going thru the tunnel...

RE: 2005 winnie 38J

it should be on a W24, my Itasca 38J is...nice coach, love the living room area with the slides open and the entertainment center in the slide...

RE: Colorado campgrounds

it's possible you could get into Cheyenne Mt SP during the week but weekends during the summer book up close to 6 mos in advance...check on Chatfield or Cherry Creek SP's in Denver for availability--there are plenty of private CG's on the front range in case the SP's are full...

RE: Just Plain Gross

That's why I try to stay in full hookup sites only, I HATE using dump stations..

RE: New Allegro Breeze deal does not seem that great....

they're inflating the trade in value to show equity in it, old shell game...go to your bank or credit union & look up the true wholesale value, that should give the OP a better starting point...just my $.02..

RE: am going to yellowstone this summer.

another element that adds to the congestion when we were there in 09 was the construction in different parts of the park especially coming in the south entrance from Grand Teton---check their website-should have a construction calendar & roads effected...

RE: I have about decided to sell my Truck and Travel trailer

having owned 2 TT's prior to our coach--traveling is much more pleasant and setup/breakdown is easier for the upsides, the downside is they can be money pits (registration, maint, insurance, etc) but for us it's worth it the way we use it...

RE: Gasing Up with a Toad

not all that big of a deal, look for stations with parallel pumps to the road or have plenty of room to get out if not...remember to check the height of the canopies as well, most will have plenty of clearance but always verify if it looks iffy..

RE: Winnebago Adventurer 38J

own the Itasca version, the Sunrise 38J---nice floorplan-tons of space when parked, toilet room is a little small but you get used to it

RE: planning a colorado trip

Chatfield is a great place & it's next to H.R. as well, loop D is all full hook ups for bigger rigs with a mix of back ins & pull thrus..

RE: Has anyone used the Flush-King for dumping?

used it on both of our travel trailers when we had them, you do generally need to backflush 3 or 4 times to get your tank clean so it takes a little while...

RE: Financing. Retail to Retail or Wholesale to Wholesale??

to confuse your numbers, make it look like you have equity in your trade if you don't...check with your bank or credit union, they can give you the true wholesale and loan values

RE: Part time insurance ????

states that have mandatory liability insurance requirements for motor vehicles usually require it to be maintained at all times while the registration is active--your insurance agent can tell you about it...

RE: Possible Double Insurance Coverage?

used our ERS with Progressive last year when our fuel pump went out-pleased with the service-it was a local tow to a shop we had used before--can't speak to it if we had been in BFE and had no idea of where to have it taken to...

RE: TX Registration Fees Explode!

paid almost $700 on our 05 Itasca this past year here in CO, count yourself lucky it's under $200!! Most of that cost is the personal property tax we pay on vehicles here....

RE: Switching satelite dishes

Check the instructions for the dish. With mine, I had to change a dip switch setting inside the dome for my service provider. X2, original owner in our coach had Dish, dealer changed the settings on the satellite dish itself to have it work with our DirecTv

RE: Wrangler Toad

Roadmaster, Blue Ox or Demco all have products that will work. I went with the Blue Ox setup for our 09--very happy with it. Yes you will want an aux brake, most states will require it--again went with a BO Patriot system--have towed 6k miles with everything & have had no issues

RE: Tire Prices

It may be worth the effort to find a Costco and join. I just purchased 6 Michelin 235/80 22.5 for $2427.29. I had them installed, and balanced at another tire dealer for $356.00. You have Costco in Missoula and Kalispell, less than 65 miles from you. You really need to look at the alternative that Costco offers. I didn't know Costco would even carry these tires. That's good to know. they don't carry them in stock but can order them for you..they also won't install anything bigger than the 19.5" size
