When I read a "do a search" reply from someone I consider that maybe they just do not have a meaningful reply but they want to hear their lips flap anyway! :W
Or just keep their post count high.

So they closed the park at noon and the storm isn't supposed to hit this area until after midnight??? What is the problem?? Some of you 'Senior Members' really need to get a life.
The date in our profile is the date we "joined".....not how old a member is.:R Really?? Thanks for pointing out the obvious.
Being oblivious to a risk of nature? Well that's not age related and/or in need of getting a life that just plain stupid People here (mostly Senior Members) are getting all worked up over people going camping on Friday night and leaving the park by noon Saturday when the bad weather didn't start until Sunday morning. Again, some people need to get a life.:p
EDIT: Oh God, I just became a Senior Member. I guess I'd better start complaining more about nothing at all.

There's a Cabela's right off of I-84 in East Hartford, CT. You could probably overnight in their parking lot.

problem is that if everyone waits until the "storm hits" the roads are clogged and you can't get out. Listen to the officials and leave and leave early!!
Nobody is being ordered to evacuate CT, I have no idea what you are talking about. 12 hours is plenty of time to get out of CT if an evacuation was ordered, it wasn't, all they did was close the park.

RE: Boston Area RV Park
If a state park will do, I would suggest Wompatuck State Park. It is a short drive to a couple of 'T' (subway) stations to get to Boston. We were there over Memorial Day and the park was full but it was quiet, so it should be very quiet on a non holiday weekend. No water hook-ups but plenty of spigots to fill up. 20 amp service was good enough to run our A/C.

Have a great time. We were just at Santa's Village over July 4th weekend. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we didn't use our TT. We stayed in the motel across the street from the park and just walked over in the morning. The kids had a blast in the water park.
