RE: Lesson about coolers

Well I know Bears know how to read,Coleman! It's amazing how just covering a cooler makes a difference. For tenters leaving them in there car it's a must in bear country.

RE: Hitch question, will this work?

I'd try a front mount if your scooter weight is under 400. That's where I carry my bike and really like it,plus very little bounce. Helps with weight distribution too. JMO

RE: packrats attack

Old fashion spring traps work the best, use peanut butter for bait.I feel for you, been there done that. Another name here in the desert is Wood Rats.A rat is a rat, kill them suckers. I'd move and relocate for sure.

RE: Tieing down camper for storage

I live in the desert and have some pretty high winds.what I did was pretty much the same as the others but I leave mine on my bed high saw horses. I placed 2 long ancor bolts in the ground in cement,1 on each side, then run tie downs to the 2. Works great, never had a problem. The anchors are located in the middle of the camper so the front is going back and the back tie is going forward, the both meet in the middle of the camper

RE: Ground squirrel invasion

I'm not sure what they are hurting, but the coyotes, and snakes will eventually get rid of them. There climbing my trees and eating all the new growth, yes it's spring like here in the desert. Also they undermine plants and kill them, undermine the cement patios, etc, etc. That's what they are hurting. And no the snakes&coyotes will not get rid of them, maybe 10% of them.

RE: Ground squirrel invasion

Don't have dogs as my property is not fenced and I won't tie a dog up. I went to HD this morning and found some gas bombs that you lite put in the hole and cover it.I got coyotes in the yd every night but there in there holes at night, besides these critters way out number the coyotes.I will get them!!!
