RE: AT&T Mobile Hotspot Elevate 4G*

We just got one yesterday to replace our Sierra Lightening data card. We haven't tried it in a 4G area yet but it working great so far. Hooks up pretty fast and stays connected. The reason that we got the Elevate is to get on the new plan that's $10.00 cheaper and allows you to pay only $10.00 more for each gig if you go over the 5gig limit. And the ability to have multiple computers online,of course.

RE: Concerning Wheel Chair Lift

I have a Super Arm lift.It works well in a RV because it can be used in the same door as everyone else uses. The door does need to be widened though and some of the inside cabinets or furniture might have to be removed. Here's a site where you can see how the different types of lifts work - http://www.startrackslifts.com/
Also check the link in our signature below for lots of wheelchair accessibility information.

RE: Texas-Louisiana-Arkansas

Hi,
For the uninitiated Midwest/Northeastern USA area travelers (we haven't ventured east of the Mississippi yet with the rv), what does "UP" stand for?
Thanks!
Upper Peninsula of Michigan or "the thumb" (oops -got my nicknames wrong -not the thumb. Thanks michdoc!) - a nice area to tour in the summer.

RE: Was not aware that RV factory workers paid piecemeal v. hourly

The last that we heard Born Free has a team of workers for each RV constructed. That team works on the same RV from start to finish and also is responsible for anything that needs tweaked or re-done after the RV is sold. Seems like this would result in a much better built RV.

RE: Who is Jamie Oliver? What's in the food we eat revealed.

One of the reasons we buy as much organic and minimally processed food as possible. Did you even see what goes into a chicken nugget? Or how "meat product" is made. I have a hard time eating any type of patty at a restaurant.

RE: Thinking About Calling It Quits

We went to Alaska last year too. That's a very expensive trip- fuel wise and food wise especially with the exchange rate in Canada. We won't give up RVing but we won't be traveling that far again for quite a number of years.

That link is a website for a person who is selling Vanilla. I wouldn't trust her so called facts.

RE: vanilla from Mexico

Mexican "vanilla" is made from coal tar and other chemicals plus extract from the tonka tree bean which contains coumarin , a blood thinner. It may also harm the liver. It has be banned in the US since the 1950s.
The links that Gemstone put in the posts above are very interesting. READ BEFORE YOU BUY!

RE: Shaking dually = normal?

I've been watching this thread with interest because we had a similar problem with our 2009 F450. We got a shaking , kind of like driving over a rumble strip, after we'd driven for awhile at speeds of 45+ mph and then made a turn at slow speeds. We took it to a dealer about a week ago. The mechanic drove it around the shop , diagnosed the problem as being in the rear end and added friction modifier. We thought that we might have a major problem but $9.35 seems to have fixed it.

RE: RV Trip Wizard

Raymondfl - Thanks for the information. I was tempted to sign up for the 15 day trial but having to go through canceling the order if I didn't like it was a deal breaker for me. I figured that I wait and see what other people thought of the service. Sorry about your experience and I hope that you get a refund easily. I've been making my own maps with Google. It's a little time consuming but they work very well.

RE: Wheelchair lifts forced upon campground pools

Dick A- I don't know what caused you to become disabled or how this is affecting your life but you seem bitter about it - to the extent that you are not looking at this situation with a unbiased eye and certainly not the way a moderator should be looking at it.
You didn't read his post, did you.
Yea I did. I've read all of his posts. I'm just wondering why he deleted some of the posts from other people who had valid points and as far as I could tell were not breaking forum rules.

RE: Wheelchair lifts forced upon campground pools

Francesca Knowles - Thank you for trying to get people to see that there are total inaccuracies and distortions in the article and also their own statements. Unfortunately there will always be people who will take a me first attitude about any issue and will not bother to read or research any further because their main concern is that that they will in some way be deprived of some of their privileges or worse yet some of their money. Fortunately these people lost the battle 1990 and I am thankful for every ramp , wide door , accessible restroom , public bus lift ,removed theater seat, curb cut and all of the other small things that a person does not even notice until the day comes when they need them.
I realize that a lot of you are cold and bored but this is a non-issue. It only applies to new or altered pools. It will not affect most pools and certainly will not affect you or your life. It will not cost anyone $15,000 unless they choose that option. A sloped access is also approved and a lift is not required.

RE: Newbie Question About Tank Sizes

You're right - the fresh and gray should match closer than that. Manufactures put whatever size of tank will fit into the area. Sometimes they are much worse than your example. People compensate by dumping dishwater and the like into the toilet.

RE: Wheelchair lifts forced upon campground pools

Calm down guys - To all of you complaining , this is not going to affect you one little bit! Get all of the information first then see if you have any reason to complain.
Thank you everyone who bothered to check into the issue a little more. It is very telling that the author of this article is selling the lifts and the only link that he gives is to his company.
As someone who uses a wheelchair and is constantly confronting barriers of one sort or another I can tell you that many businesses do not comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and most of the time it is perfectly legal. Some of the things that come into play are the size of the venue and the historic value of the venue. Please let me know when your favorite pool gets a lift installed. I won't be holding my breath!
Sadly, my favorite never will, we don't have a pool :p.
The community pool I do my weekly swimming at does have a lift, their's is mobile unit allowing access to all three pools with one unit, though its operated by the pool staff, not the person being raised or lowered into the water.
That makes prefect sense Matt. Accommodations of some sort are usually possible. Businesses do not close down because of ADA rulings.
