RE: Generator vs Inverter

See,,I'm still confused. If I had a generator I would plug my TT into it and run all my ac appliances and at the same time keep my battery charged for lights etc. through the TT's inverter, just like I do here in the yard at home. So what does a generator inverter do for me, that also runs on fossil fuels? (Still haven't figured that issue out yet, they both run on gas etc.) Or am I missing something??

RE: Nova Scotia from Michigan

Has anyone gone cross country from Albany to East coast to head North to Nova Scotia? I really hate to go south towards Boston then swing all the way back up to the north to get to Maine. I realize there aren't any Freeways across there, just makes sense to me to go as the crow flies.

Nova Scotia from Michigan

I prefer to stay in the US going up there. Mapquest shows going across Ohio and New York on US88 and US86 by Albany, then down towards Boston and back up the coast to Maine. Anybody been on 88 and 86 freeways?

Fundy Bay Area Camping

Anyone ever stayed at Bayview Motel, Chalets and RV Park in Alma? Or Ponderosa Pines, Hopewell? I'd like a nice private rv park fairly close to Fundy Nat. Park, maybe 1 hour away or less. Like to be close to the ocean. I have a 24ft TT, 1 wife and 1 small dog. Last two weeks of August. Also looking for a park on Cape Breton Island too?

Charge it or cash?

What's the best way to conduct business in Canada from the U.S.? Use credit cards or exchange cash ahead of time? Going to Nova Scotia in August from Michigan.

Planning a trip in mid-August from Michigan to Nova Scotia. Probably will spend about 2 weeks. Would like to know any must see or do's you all recommend? We are pulling a 24ft TT, have kayaks, bicycles and like to do some hiking and site seeing. Fundy Bay area is one item on our list already. Also any campgrounds you recommend.
Thank you.

RE: Planning UP Michigan, Wisconsin spring trip

I've lived in lower Michigan all my life. Been to the UP many, many times. This past summer wife and I were in Munising and did something that I recommend everyone do. We went to Seaburg pontoon rentals and rented a pontoon for 5 hours and went to the Pictured Rocks. It was awesome. I've hiked the shoreline but never saw the Rocks from the water. You can gently and carefully pull your pontoon right up the edge of the rocks. The water is crystal clear so you can see everything. Really cool. And just a note about Seaburgs, there pontoon was very clean and they are very nice people. Well worth the money believe me.
