RE: Lazydays sales

Make sure you look over your RV very well as they have a problem with damaging units in the parking lot.Not only do they have a problem with damaging units in the bays and storage lots, they have a HUGE problem with using the customers units for their spare parts bin. Ours was moved there by the manufacturer, from another dealers lot because of extremely poor service, and while it was there the Lazy Days techs robbed it blind. The cost to replace parts they stole was in the thousands......Only fools trust Lazy Days for anything.
Absolutly wrong, yes units get damaged, that happens everywhere. THEY DO NOT TAKE PARTS OFF CUSTOMERS OR SOLD RIGS. They may only in special cases use parts of unsold new units, and only then when a replacement has been ordered. Most of the "stolen" parts are by CUSTOMERS or OUTSIDERS, learn your facts...

RE: Lazydays sales

The salesman was correct, any and all dealers will give service preference to sold units. Would you want to bring your RV into the dealer for service and find the service dept. clogged with unsold RVs that may not ultimately even get sold. Now, how long it is actually taking to get service is another issue. Sometimes parts have to come from the manufacture and that can take along time, this is not like fixing a car, there are no local RV parts stores you can walk into for parts like you can for your car. RV's are a compleatly different game. And on top of that sales and service are different departments run by different people and don't take orders from one another...

Can't agree more. But what is really amazing is the CEO of Newell is gentleman enough to even give an explanation to such a "silly thread"

RE: RV Dealer - Was what he said true?

Go back to your local dealer. You said you were treated right there. Sounds simple to me...

RE: TOTAL NEWBIES, looking for assistance intelligently

First there is not alot to really learn. Most important is to find the right RV for how YOU intent to use it, and fits your budget. Go to RV shows, So. Florida is the RV show capital. Climb in every rig, ask alot of questions, this is the place to ask questions. Go to dealers, somewhere like Lazy Days in Tampa, they have every kind of RV from little trailers to million doller rigs, new and used, spend a few days there, they have a hotel and resturants on the property, the sales persons are very professional and will spend plenty of time helping you. Every RV is different and when you find the right one learning the systems is not difficult, not much different from a new car, thats what oweners manuals are for. You really do not need anyones help, RVing is not like yachting, the basic skills you already have. And of course you can ask here which is much better then approaching strangers.

RE: Insurance Non Renewal notice. Need advice

How did they know? Where you required to send them a picture of it parked? Is that how they found out? :H
It's probably what I said, too much info given to the ins. co. that they do not know how to process...

RE: Montana LLC

Most of the info and advise offered in this thread is incorrect and wrong. As with anything in life, some things are used improperly, that does not make them wrong. There are many reasons for setting up an LLC besides taxes. Not everyone needs an LLC, but in certain situations it may be beneficial. If you set up an LLC for the sole purpose of avoiding taxes, you may have a problem. Used properly and if you comply with all the legal requirments, THEY ARE 100% LEGAL. People please stop all the misinfomation and incorrect spectulation...

RE: OMG PLEASE HELP!!!

Please give the remainder of the brake job to someone capable of doing it right.Your family's safety is at risk. You are in over your head trying to save a couple of bucks.(Disclaimer-harsh but needs to be said.)
As a retired mechanic with MANY drum and disc brake jobs in my past, I wholeheartedly agree! With something as critical to SAFETY as brakes, take it to a professional and get it done RIGHT the first time!
EXACTLY !!!

RE: Interested in the 32' Allegro Breeze

Being a former Tiffin owner ( 2006 42ft Allegro Bus) I am very familiar with Tiffin. Tiffin has been plagued with many structural issues and poor quality control over the past few years. Yes, Tiffin stands behind their products but repairs of the type they have require a trip to Red Bay. I also have experience with Newmar and feel they are a much better coach. You'll be much happier staying with Newmar. I personally would never consider a Tiffin. If you don't beleive me just join the Tiffinrvnetwork/Forum.com and read up...

RE: Door location

Frame configuration on DP's necessitate front doors. Mid doors also interfere with storage space on raised rail chassis.

RE: Purchasing a Diesel Pusher!!!

You've only owned gassers. First question - air brakes in this motorhome? If so, is an air brake endorsement required in your state? That endorsement does not always apply to commercial drivers only.
He's in Florida and no, he does not need one...

RE: Boat + Propane Appliances = Explosion

Propane did not cause the accident. Faulty equiptment, improper care, owner carelessness, or another falt caused the explosion. For what it's worth the leading cause of boat explosions are caused by gas fumes and sparks...

I love my Tahoe, but it may be a little heavier than you may want. I used to tow a Jeep Wrangler and it was one of the bests toads ever, just didn't have enough room for my needs.

RE: Carry fuel?

A "bomb" really ??? Thousands of gas containers are sold every minute of the day. Gas and diesel is carried in all sorts of vehicles and for so many different purposes on every road every day, safely, never saw one blow up. I and a friend filled the back of our trucks with dozens of containers with hundreds of gallons of gas after huricane Wilma, purchased from a station a hundred miles away, back and forth dozens of times over several days. We didn't blow up...

RE: What is the Deal

If I am taking up a salesman time I feel like the least I can do in return is give him my name and number. I have nothing to hide. If he calls a simple no thanks will typically suffice. No reason to be rude and treat the salesman as the enemy.
X2, they are just doing their job. Most managers require salespeople to "log" this info...

RE: Grandkids in 55 over resorts

I don't think anyone has a problem with well behaved kids (and dogs). It's the ones who don't know when enough is enough. The constant screaming (or barking), invading others sites and endangering property and vehicles. It's when the parents, who are the real problem, let their kids run wild and have no concept of respecting other peoples rights and space. I think the problem is that parents don't like or want to be bothered with PARENTING. Don't pawn your kids (behavior)off on me because your too lazy to raise them correctly...

RE: High End Super C vs DP

I would rather have a http://libertycoach.com/available-coaches rather than a Super C too, since Super C's are banned by many nice RV parks all over the country.
Who wouldn't considering a new Liberty costs over 2 million...

RE: Grandkids in 55 over resorts

I don't have a problem with kids. I have a problem with the parents who do not teach them to respect others. I'm in a very nice park for a few days and the kids next to me have been bouncing a ball in front of my site for hours on end. Hit several cars in ajacent sites, all while the father sat in a chair watching.
Finally I had to speak up after they almost hit my car and the continuous noise finally got on my nerves...
