RE: opinions on transmission change??

I would have it at operating temperature and than drain it.
i thought that that would be better but than a trans guy said to leave it cold so that all the impurities and any contamination will have fallen to the bottom of the pan and get flushed out with the drain. kind of makes sense also.
any thoughts????

RE: opinions on transmission change??

how many miles have you put on?
i switched to transynd 3 yeARS AGO and it was just mix with the trans fluid that the m/h came with new ATF i believe. so it was about a 50.50 mix. since than i put on about 25,000 miles. so want to redo it now again and hopefully it will now be a better and higher percentage mix.

opinions on transmission change??

will be changing the trans fluid in our allison 1000 trans. this will be the 2nd time and replacing fluid with transynd for the second change also.
my question is , is it better to drain the pan while the fluid is cold or better to have the fluid at operating temp and than drain it.
any opinions????

reversed polarity on plug?

had our house 30 amp plug replaced a couple weeks ago by a rv repaior guy and left for vacation and at a campground now. i bought one of those digital monitors and when i plugged it into a out it set the alarm off for reversed polarity. i tried it on about 6 more outlets and the same thing. i than plugged in directly into the 30 amp plug on the pedestal using a adapter thinking that it might be a problem with the parks pedestal and it read OK no reversed polarity at the pedestal.
so this leads me to believe that the repair guy wired the plug wrong.
my question is, how important is it to have this fixed now and have to pay a repair guy again to correct it or can it wait until i get back home and have him fix his mistake? will be gone for about a month.
thanks.
have been here for 3 days now and have had no problem with the air etc..
thanks

when using the refer on propane does it use any battery power? and if it does is the power usage that much or if your house batteries are not that good should it sustain the refer for overnight?

RE: TPO roofs inthe hot sun???

Our 2000 coach has a TPO roof and for 12 years when not traveling it sits in our driveway exposed to the hot NV sun. We do have solar screens covering all windows on our coach when stored.
Haven't cleaned it as often as I should, however it's still holding up with no leaks to date. It appears to be a fairly durable roofing material. Probably will need replacing in a couple of years or so.
As far as the interior, if it will be stored w/o air conditioners running, probably be a good idea as others suggested,to open vents a bit. Also, I would fill the toilet bowl with water to keep the seal from drying out. We found by setting a couple of large bowls of water, one in living room and one in bedroom helps in maintaining some humidity for interior wood parts.
thanks to all for the info..
does anyone treat the roof with any type of sun block or anything like that, or just kep it natural? we just had it washed and not sure if we should coat it at all with something.
thanks again

TPO roofs inthe hot sun???

cannot find a covered storage area so far for our m/h with a TPO roof (2004 fleetwood). it will be in Bullhead city Az. for the summer in 100 plus temps.. are these roofs made to withstand that constant sun on them and is there anything to coat them with to help it out? also is they anything that should be done to the interior other than maybe leaving the roof vents open?

insulation on slideout roof?????

will be staying the first summer in bullhead city az this year. i have window awnings but no slide toppers over the 2 slide outs. any thoughts or other suggestions about buying those 4x8x 2in sheets of Styrofoam insulation from home depot, cutting them to the size of the roof over the slide out, gluing that silver windshield stuff on it and wedging it on the slide out top on a slight angle for the rain run off.
would this help with defusing some of the heat off the slides or does someone have a better idea?
thanks
