RE: Questions For 2008-2010 Super Duty Owners

We get almost no signal with the 10'2" Citation on the truck but no worries it is an easy fix, go to Radio Shack and get a magnetic base antenna with a 25' cable, they look the same as the factory antenna and come with adapter to plug into sirius receiver under the dash. I ran the cable thru the firewall grommet and have it stored under the hood by the driver battery, when I put the camper on I unplug the factory antenna and plug in the aux antenna and open the hood and stick it on the front above the headlight. Curt front hitch is easy install and strong. The noise from your dash is likely the blend door motors in your heating and cooling system, had mine replaced once already and sometimes still makes noise.

RE: Sirius/XM Antenna

Wow! I should have planned ahead and got one off Ebay. Last minute decision costs more money. It worked great on our trip this weekend to Wapato Lake, only lost receiption in a tunnel and heavy tree cover. The Ford plug is a faded yellow color also.

Sirius/XM Antenna

If some of you are having reception issues when you camper is on like I was there is an easy fix. I have a 2008 F350 with the factory antenna on top of the cab. Radio Shack carries an Micro antenna, magnetic with rubber feet for no scratches, $38.00. It has 2 different plugs and it has 23 ft. of cord. Unplug your factory antenna and plug this one in when your camper is on and away you go. Easy Cheesy. Going on a 4 day trip tomorrow to Wapato Lake campground in Eastern Washington.

RE: inventory list

The best thing to take is a camping logbook. Everytime you go out and think of something you forgot or something you wished you had write it down and amend your list. It is also great for taking notes on campgrounds, dump locations, places you want to stay at next time.

RE: How much space between camper and cab ??

Citation recommends 2.5", I have 3.5". 1/2" isn't enough for my combo, I've seen it move more than that.
