RE: 5th Airborne and Pull Rite Super Glide

It is the custom capture plate for the pin box....tried the controlled clash, not my first time with the Pull Rite, been having it on my truck with the stock pin box with no problems...new capture plate can only be installed one way as I said it was made for the Airborne and no slick disk..The capture plate in not restricting anything as far as I see and believe me I crawled around my hitch and looked trying to make it lock...Any other idears?

5th Airborne and Pull Rite Super Glide

Just finished installing a 5th Airborne pin box on my trailer. Bought a new capture plate for my Pull Rite hitch that's made for the 5th Airborne. The problem is when hooking up my trailer the hitch won't lock now. Tried rocking the tuck on the hitch, raising and lowering the trailer to the hitch and other things trouble shooting it and can't get the hitch to lock. Took the head off the hitch and slid it on the pin while holding it and it works fine. All measurements on both the old and new pin box are the same. I can't see where there are any adjustments to be made on the hitch. What am I missing here?

RE: Newbie to 5th wheel

Like everyone has stated shop around and check out RV shows. Find a few you like and then come back here and ask about them. I'm sure you will get an ear full on the pros and cons. Good luck on your shopping..

RE: Need Safe Rec'd for family near New Orleans

If so, google up Fontainebleu state park and Fairview-Riverside state park. They might work. The airport is about a 40 minute drive.

RE: Best route

I-20 thru Jackson Miss. is bad and I-20 thru Ala. is under construction and bad too. The hyways and interstates are eather in bad shape or under construction. You will drive miles and hours out of your way trying to avoid them. I bite the bullet and just go thru them. Good luck....

Grumpy Replies

As long as this forum has been around, I'm sure if you did a search on any question asked concerning RVing, Camping, Campgrounds, or whatever, it has been answered one time or another. I have found there are very friendly people here that answer and some pretty grumpy ones who seem like they are mad at the world.I tend to enjoy the frendly people here who are helpful and ignore the grumpy ones who by the way if you do a search seem to be, not all but alot of, senior members. Remember there is no stupid questions. If people didn't come here and ask the same ole questions over and over again, just think how boring this forum would be.

Are their fees to go into Teton and Yellowstone and if so would it be better to buy a pass?

Yellowstone.....Teton Area

Heading to Wy. in the spring. Thinking about staying at Long Horn Ranch in Dubois. Did a Rv Review on it, sounds nice. Was wondering if anyone has been there and what did you think. Any other full hookup campground in the Yellowstone,Teton area. RV Review shows very few.

RE: TrailAir Pin Box

I have the EZ-Flex on my trailer already from the factory. The harsh ride is not in the trailer but in the rear of the truck. I really can't run any air, but min., in my air bags because it will make my trailer run too nose high.

RE: TrailAir Pin Box

Does the 5th Airborne raise the front of the trailer? Don't really need that because I'm a little nose high now and no more adjustment in pin box area.

TrailAir Pin Box

Looking to smooth out my ride in my truck a little. On concrete roads it seems like the trailer and truck combo slams the joints on the road. It makes the rear of the truck ride real hard. I have air bags on the truck but run min. air preasure to keep the trailer running level. Thinking about getting a TrailAir pin box. Would like to hear from people with this or other pin box modification. Is it worth the money and does it really smooth out the ride? My truck is a 2007 Dodge 3500 MegaCab Dually.
