RE: TT in Long Term Storage
Boy am I glad I found this thread. I have accepted a position moving to Alaska, and I know that there are thousands of RVing opprotunities in Alaska, but my company will not permit me to take my 5th wheel or my truck with me as they will be providing housing/vehicle, expenses. So I have been pondering the idea of long term storage versus selling.
My initial thought was to simply sell the unit, then back to storage. Now i have this thread to thank for helping me make my decision to sell. I love my 5'ver but, do not want to worry about everything can can (and probably will) fail and require expensive replacement, versus just buying a new unit when I return. (3 years minimum). I have to say it is a bit exciting to not have a truck or trailer note for the next few years. If I do it right I can pay cash for new truck and trailer when I come back to Texas.
