RE: Help me avoid mistake!

If your buying new, bite the bullet and by a 1 ton diesel dually, you'll never regret it. When I bought my 1st 5ver it grossed at 13K. My new one gosses at 16K, I didn't have to change trucks. If your looking at a Ford, PM me if you would like to get the Ford X plan. (Son works for Ford)

RE: Alabama ~ As patriotic a State as they come

What burns me is years ago you would see the AMERICAN FLAG flown everywhere, every day. Now you only see it on holidays. I have seen local and state government location that aren't flying the flag daily. Thank you to all the members of our Armed Forces Current, Retired and the ones that gave their all for us. GOD Bless you all.

RE: How to Decrease Interior Heat - Awnings or Tinted Windows?

I read a post somewhere that the poster used Radiantgaurd (foiled bubble wrap type stuff) on the roof of his slides. He used clear packing tape to hold in place over the ends of the slides. I'm thinking of doing it. I don't have slide awning and won't leave the main awning down when I'm away from the RV, due to the winds that come up fast and make awning and gazebo's into twisted metal. I do use the Radiantgaurd on the door side windows in bedroom, hallway and door, and it really helps lower the temp inside during the summer.

RE: Honey Wagon Help Needed!

Yeah, I don't think I need that big of a Honey wagon, unless I'm going to charge others to dump theirs. But the S.P. we're are frowns on it. I stick to dumping my own.

RE: Honey Wagon Help Needed!

The problem with a tote in the park that has speed bumps is tha tyou will rip/ grind the bottom off them over the bumps. I would suggest a marcerator pump and a tank in the bed of the truck. I have seen 55 gal plastic barrels used for the tank in the bed. Most made a cradle to lay it down and added a dump valve to the it to empty it. The one you pictured I would stay away from, they don't hold up very well.

RE: Portable Waste Tanks

Ther is no lifting the 42 gallon tote (340lbs), it hard enough to pull it up the incline to the truck. Since I sit at one site for 6 months, I've been looking for a 150-200 gallon tank to sit it the bed or my flat bed trailer and use the macerator pump to fill it.

RE: Portable Waste Tanks

Bearhawk I have the 42 gallon Barker blue tote and the F350 in sig. pulls it fine, don't even know it's there, hehe. Back up once with it attached (empty) had to replace a rear wheel. I'm thinking of adding one of those orange flags that the put on a bike.

RE: Surge Guard info

Send it back to Progressive, I found them to be a super company to deal with. Why would you sent it to Progressive? I don't think they make the SurgeGard. Now Progressive did fix my 50 amp Portable EMS free of charge.

RE: Sorry state of fuel in North America

I'm hearing from RVers with boats about the trouble they are having with the ethanol in fuel, ruining injectors and carbuators in the boats. Can only imagine what it's doing to out cars, trucks, generators and other small engines.

RE: Desktop Keyboard & Coffee don't mix

Most keyboards are an easy fix. I've cleaned many keyboards at work. Unplug it from the PC. Blow out as much of the dust and food particle as possible. Then give it a good soaking with Alcohol. Use the tooth brush to brush between the keys, then re-soak with Alcohol and blow it dry. The keys will pop off easily with a small flat screw driver by prying up on one side of the key.

RE: Need new tires - what about new rims?

If you want to upgrade, check for RV salvage yards in your area, you maybe able to find a set for a good price.

RE: Horrible Smells!

We had that on our old Class C, found that the stove knob was turned to pilot, it was propane we were smelling. We did do alot of cleaning before we found the problem. Sure are glad neither of us smoke.

RE: Heartland Augusta

The airbed (fold out sofa)leaking was a problem for us also, but after talking to Flair customer service, I found that you have to fold the mattress up and place it in the zipper bag they supply every time you take the bed down. After having 3 mattress replaced in 1.5 years, not knowing whar should be done, we have now had 2 years trouble free with the mattress. Heartland has seemed like they will stand behind their products. Sometimes it takes a call to customer service to get results. I think some of the time it's the dealer that's the problem, when it comes to getting things fixed.

RE: I Wish There Was An Aftermarket product for....

Why not take it to a body shop that repairs Corvettes or does custom body work. They should be able to rebuild your cap and make ir stronger.
