RE: Rear Kitchen Bounce

We have a 3585 rear kitchen as well and have never had a problem. We do use double sided Velcro to secure double cabinet doors, but that is all.

RE: 5th wheel distance between truck bed

Many recommend six inches or a bit more clearance above sidewalls and tailgate.

RE: Replacing G/Year Marathons with What? See P. 4

I believe that if the OP contacts Keystone/Montana he will be advised that the wheel supplier has recertified his wheels to 3750 lbs and can use G614 at their full 110 pounds inflation. I have seen that posted here a number of times.
I still would make the switch to 17.5 rims and tires if it was mine, because the G614 lacks a perfect track record.
Chris
Tredit says no. They may have said yes at an earlier time, but now say no. My OEM wheels rated at 3500#.

Or you could upgrade to 17.5 inch tire and wheel package and envy your concerns. What axles do you have 6K or 7K?
7K axles.

Replacing G/Year Marathons with What? See P. 4

I'm running GY 235 80R16E Marathons rated at 3420# each and want to replace them with a tire not made in china. Checked the rims and they are stamped with 3500 pounds and this brings up the dilemma of what to replace with. The only viable option I see is the G/Year G614 and load them up to 90 pounds on the existing rims. This is what the local tire dealer recommended. Any comments as I sure want to get rig of the china bombs and get some decent tires.

RE: Montana fifth wheel

I have an 09 3585 and pulled it with an 04 Chevy 2500HD 2X4 extended cab short bed. Did I feel comfortable with that combination due to excessive pin weight, no! Did it pull the rig, yes with no trouble but there was always the liability of too much pin weight over the rear axle. Solved that by moving up to a Chevy 3500HD SRW, CC, SB and feel a lot more confident now.

RE: Got My Recall Notice Today

Funny I never got a recall on the auto HVAC blow door actuators; now there's a real money pit.
Just had mine fixed/replaced to the tune of $1150.00 paid by my extended warranty and my $100.00 deductible.

RE: Hurricane Preparedness

We are at Myrtle Beach now and plan to leave tonight. No sense endangering ourselves and the rig if things should take a turn for the worse here. We will be back in October anyway.
