RE: Weekend Warrior Couch Leg

If I recall correctly, the new parts supplier for WW stuff is Warrior Lifestyles. www.warriorlifestyles.com. Call them, as their site doesn't list all the parts they have access to. They were very helpful to me in the past.

RE: Airbags for DRW help eliminate CA highway bouncing??

I'm SRW, but to answer your question - Yes. You will have to figure out what pressure you need loaded and what pressure you need for the return trip (return trip pressure will probably be less due to less weight in the bed). I doubt you'll be ablt to eliminate it all though, due to horrible roads. When I would get on the 5 to head up the grapevine (to Gorman), I would go slow (55mph in the horrible spots) until I started up the hill. Hope this helps.

RE: Anyone make a 5er TH for a 3/4 ton truck?

I see Montana owners all over pulling their fivers with 3/4 ton trucks. Even some 4x4 3/4 tons. I would think you could find a nice Montana used fiver that would make you an excellent trailer. Montana's are built very well and have a lot of amenities that are nice to have. Of course, I am prejudiced because I own one. I opted for a dually just because I like the idea of having 4 rear wheels in the event of a flat back there. Take a look around and see what you find in the Montana fivers. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Is there some new Montana toy-hauler that I'm not aware of, cause I haven't seen it? Just asking. Thanks.

RE: What kind of boat could I fit inside my toyhauler?

Anything bigger than a john-boat, and I'm wondering how you would get it in there. If you want to bring a small boat, have you though of double towing( if it's legal in your location)?

RE: Filters for Ford diesel 6.0

Every vehicle I own (or have owned for the last 10 years) gets WIX filters and rotella T6 5W-40 oil. Ditto - "the 6.0 loves the rotella synthetic".
A bit more expensive than standard dino oil, but I don't have 4-5 different types of oil in the garage.

Someone spent alot of time on that YSR. Can't say I like the theme, but I can appreciate the time spent and attention to detail.

RE: Raptor 3612 Missing Gas Cap

This post reminds me - I need to put a lanyard on my gas cap. I've almost left mine a couple of times. Why don't they put one on at the factory?

RE: King Quad Crate Engine

Honestly, I would not have a motor rebuilt at a dealer. They are the maintenance experts, but major overhauls should be left to people who do that specifically for a living. For example, I trusted my race bike to CT Racing in California (when I lived there). They build bullet-proof motors all day long, and their teams win or place in the baja(s) pretty much every time. Maybe you have a motor shop somewhere near you(?). I bet there is a shop somewhere that specializes in 4x4 motors, and if not close, you could ship it to them. If they are knowledgable enough, they would know why that motor does that and be able to describe how to make it more durable. You could ask around in some of the 4x4 atv forums for reputable motor builders. Hope this helps

RE: ?? on Replacement tires for 06 Ford F350 4x Crew Diesel....

I've had extremely good luck with Nitto. If you want a more agressive tire, like the T/A go Terra Grappler. If a more street tire is good (this is what I've run) go with the Dura Grappler. I got close to 50k out of my last two sets of Dura Grapplers on my 2005 2WD. They come in two classifications, make sure you get the 6 ply load range E.
I also have the Nitto Dura Grappler 285/75/16 "E"s. Love them. They seem to be wearing alot better than the BFG A/Ts (like those also), and a good bit quieter too.
BTW - I have air'd the Dura Grapplers down for Pismo trips, and they float across the sand just fine. Will buy them again. Hope this helps.

RE: Garage Model vs Open Floorplan

We have the open floor-plan and love it. I do see valid reasons for both in this thread. Layout is something that we thought real hard about before we bought, and glad we did.

RE: Does anyone else own the 2012 Attitude FL28AKLG

One more thing to check is where the dump hose stores. the tube goes right under the sink and the cap on the end of mine was not even glued into the pipe. I dont use it for that dump hose but for those that do be aware that it comes in right under your sink and may leak all of that goodness into the living space.
That's good to know. Sounds like many of us have had the same issues. I was impressed with the factory's quick turnaround time on mine...2 days on a pretty long list. That's also about how long I think it is going to take me to sort through and reconfigure the wiring in the battery compartment...Nice lack of grommets in several locations looks like a recipe for a short. Other wires dangling and hastily bundled look suspect as well.
2 days? Mine has been at barber rv in ventura for almost three weeks trying to get parts and repairs completed. they are having to fight tooth and nail to get warranty things accomplished. I just hope its done by next weekend. I have even had to make phone calls to eclipse to talk with them and remind them what they told me. I wish I lived closer to riverside...oh wait, no I dont. :)
WOW, 3 weeks... might have been worth the drive to Riverside.
Mine has always been fixed and returned the same day by Attitude.
I found a few problems the night after taking delivery. The dealership wanted me to drop it off for a week to fix a few things that Attitude fixed the next morning while I waited for it.
The experience with my dealership has been not so great.... while I have been back to Attitude more than once, they have always got me in and out in the same day and I have never had to go back with the same problem twice.
FWIW, a good buddy of mine, and several other aquaintenaces as well, had repairs completed at Barber RV. They took forever! Four months for a "new trailer - factory covered repair" was disgusting. After hearing that, I refused to take my trailer there for even minor repairs. JMHO.

RE: Heading West

10 and 20 are rather boring drives. Nice for towing though. Good large-truck access facilities on both. Keep fuel tank over 1/4 full at all times, as there are areas with nothing for 50-60 miles! Try and avoid the large cities around rush-hour time, as they get very busy. Walmarts are good for free over-night camping while enroute, and there are alot of them along the way. Safe travels.

RE: Carolina Adventure World

***Update***
The day-trip on Monday went very well. CAW is a cool place. Here is what I thought.
Facilities: Day-riders parking has lots of room. Bath-house is adequate. Clubhouse is spacious and they have some parts/clothes/gear available. Food is available sometimes, but not on Monday Holidays. Camping is close to the clubhouse and bathhouse. Campground is dirt-only, as previously mentioned. Campground has electrical and water @ each site, but the dump site is 100yards away (dump site is on a hill, but still do-able with bigger trailers).
Riding: All types. Mud bogs, drag racing, MX tracks, trails, hills, fire roads, etc... They have a bike wash area on-site. I highly recommend you use it, as I let the mud sit for a day before cleaning the bikes. That was the absolute wrong answer! Get that stuff off before it dries. It's a PITA to remove once it's dry.
Access: Freeways getting there was easy. It's 2.6 miles off I-77. The entrance road is steep, but wide. Shouldn't be a problem with the hauler.
All-in-all, a great place. We will be camping there soon!!!

RE: New to the Forum...Have a few questions

You have a Cummins Onan shop near you, that most likely services big trucks. They also sell your generator parts, and the prices aren't bad. Google "Cummins Onan Parts (and your city/state)". It'll give you the location and phone #. On your genny, there is an alphanumeric sequence that starts with 4000/5500. Write that number down, cause the guy is gonna ask you for it. He needs the last part of it to tell exactly what genny you have, and he'll hook you up with the right stuff. Hope this helps.

RE: Carolina Adventure World

Thanks for all of the replies. I spent a good hour on their website yesterday. Looks like a great place. Friends who have been there say it's pretty sweet. Thinking about day-tripping this weekend, but it's gonna be cold. I think I'm turning into a wuss. hehe I will report back for those of us with larger haulers, as well as rating the facilities and riding in general. Hope the temps trend up. Come on mother nature!!!

Carolina Adventure World

Haven't been to CAW yet, but doing a day-trip soon to check it out. Question is: Has anyone taken their toyhauler there, for some camping and riding action? If so, how was the RV camping portion suited to our needs? Any pros/cons would be helpful. Only heard great things about the place, and it's the closest "real" riding area to me @ 140 miles away. Thanks in advance.
