RE: Residential fridges and remote camping???

We have a residential fridge similar in size to JUrban's. We don't drycamp as much, but when we do, we also find the need to use the generator is similar in times for morning and evening as described by users above. We do have 6 house batteries which came standard with the RR.
After having both Dometic and Norcold RV fridges for years in past trailers and fifth wheels, I can draw but one conclusion.
We will NEVER go back to an RV fridge again.

RE: Tampa RV Supershow Tickets

Thanks everyone for the replies. Since their website never responded back I'll go with the folks here who indicate 2 days.

RE: Tampa RV Supershow Tickets

I did try contacting "them" thru their website, but no response yet. I figured I'd get a quicker response here, although perhaps not an accurate one.

RE: Wiliamsburg Virginia to Charlston rv frendly gas stations

If you want to turn around and head a couple of miles up I64 towards Richmond there's a Flying J at exit 211.
Please give us more insight on where that FlyingJ is located. I've traveled thru that way MANY times and I'm not familiar with a FlyingJ anywhere near there.

RE: AC Vent Mod (Long)

Exocet,
Nice job. What a timely post. Our MH uses exactly the same OEM vents as you had. We have 3 AC units and are very tired of not being able to control the amount of air (and direction) which the OEM vents provide. Over on the Tiffin Forum several of the owners have done exactly the same thing, and used the exact same new vent that you installed.
The template is a good idea. I have vents on order right now from the company you mentioned and am awaiting their arrival for installation.

I agree with the posts above concerning the Winegard Trav'ler 1000. It works great. Now, if only the Dish Network staff could function at even a fraction of this level.

RE: New Dish Pay-as-you-go Dishformyrv.com

Just to re-iterate what a few others have already stated concerning the RV Support Team at 888-309-0370. I just called at 1730 hours today to have my account "disconnected" while I'm not using the MH. The CSR "Max" seemed knowledgeable about what I was trying to do. He stated that the RV Support Team is no longer, but that the listed number above should be called to deal with RV-related concerns.
Since I had already prepaid until 7/2/11 he indicated that a credit should show up on my bill when I decide to activate the account again.
HOPEFULLY, he is correct.
Also, as someone else spoke about, when logging into DishNetwork.com and accessing your account, once the account is in the "disconnected" state the only tab you are able to access is the "Restart My Service" tab.

RE: Honda Fit as a Toad!

And besides, the salesman (been selling Honda's for 21 years) read from the 2011 model year Fit instruction manual and it says if you tow it with the front wheels down you do certain things (mentioned above) but you are limited to 50 miles in a day and no more than 35 mph. That doesn't sound right. But nevertheless, I won't be buying a Fit. I prefer the CR-V EX.
Well, since that 21 year Honda salesman can't get the 4 down towing correct, it makes you wonder what else he doesn't know.

Yes, the last time I dealt with them I had to be transferred 5 times before I was able to get my point across.

I only have DISH in the MH (Comcast cable at home). I have NEVER had the $6 fee you refer to show up on any of my bills.

Do a search. You'll find them for MUCH cheaper than what RVUpgrades wants for them.

RE: best rout around DC

As others have said, take 495 East. Usually an easier drive and less construction. I wouldn't plan on getting fuel anywhere around the Beltway.
