RE: 12v House Lights Problem

I had a similar problem with the 12 volt on my Oakland 5th wheel. I started chasing the circuits from the fuse panel to the place I had lost the 12 volts. The DW had a fit when she came out and found panels removed a week before we had to go to a wedding. I finally found the problem in a Scotch Lock connector used to tap into a live wire to get another feed line to another circuit ie. the outside door light. Where it had cut through the insulation to get power to the other wire the conductors had corroded and broke. Since then whenever I find any more of these connectors they are removed and a good solder and Heat Shrink connection is made. Good luck in your trouble shooting and let us know what you find Another thing I did besides the notes was to take pictures of what wiring was behind different panels. Once I printed them I was able to use my notes to label the wires in the pictures.

RE: Hitching and Unhitching By Yourself

I always hitch and un hitch by myself. Just have to remember to give the horn a toot before backing under to warn the DW inside that there might be some movement. If she gets a warning then I don't get the long lecture how I startled her and it makes the rest of the day more enjoyable.

RE: Frame, Suspension or Brake Problem? Gimme your guess.

When you see almost no hole at the front of the pin box with the weight and then the hole gets larger as you take the weight off it sounds like the bolts holding the pin box to the frame may be loose. I had this problem with one of my fivers when the dealer raised my pin box to accommodate the height difference in my new truck. The didn't properly torque the bolts and they worked loose. After having them retorqued the pin box stopped moving. I also noticed that the trailer would jerk when braking from the pin box moving. This stopped once the pinbox was properly tightened. Let us know what you find. Ron

RE: WATER PRESSURE

I also use an Inline filter when Hooked up to park water. A 5 foot hose connected between the RV and the filter and the long hose attached between the park tap and the input side of the filter. Also use this setup when filling my fresh water tank. Ron
