RE: Driving Question

I took the driver training course at the rv rally, I highly recommend it because you can ask your questions and they have many ideas.

RE: Quiet Campground for July 4th - Dog fearful of fireworks

Angus is a different dog with his thundershirt on; I highly recommend it too. He stands and stares at it when he hears thunder in the distance.

RE: RE: Doggie Daycare in Indianapolis

I booked the boys in at Barkefellers, I called there and they sounded wonderful. I checked it out on line and it seems like the kind of place they will be fine at. It seems on Sunday, we will have to have them stay over because most places close before the race might be over. Thank you everyone for great suggestions.

RE: Doggie Daycare in Indianapolis

We are planning to go to Indianapolis in July and attend the Nascar race. I am looking for a place that my 2 scotties can stay for the day or a dog sitter that will come to the KOA to take them for a few walks during the day. Most kennels aren't open on Sundays so the boys would have to sleep over for 2 nights. Any ideas??

RE: Dinette Seat Cushion

I am not sure what make of motorhome you have and how old it is, but I have a lot of success calling the manufacturer for parts and they do their best to help me get what I need.

RE: Fleetwood Cargo Bay Door Handle Assembly

I just received replacement door catches from Fleetwood, how do we install them. What does the inside of the cargo door look like if we take the cover off? Is there something that attaches to the latch? What is the name of the place to buy the metal ones, I am very interested in doing that.

We have stayed in the rv resort in Park City and really enjoyed it. Isn't too far out of town.

RE: Easy in Easy out fuel without GPS

In addition to "Exit Now" we use a book that I purchased at a truck stop. It is a small book that lists all gas stations and rates them as small, medium and large size. I use both books before I make a decision to stop.

RE: Black Tank Treatment

We use Dawn Original formula (NOT antibacterial) dish detergent when we want a good clean. You just put a bit in with water and travel; that washes it out and gets rid of ordor. In between I use aqua chem but do find in the summer months we need a good clean or two. We learned this at the last rv rally we went to. Hope this helps.

RE: Our "Kids" diet on the Road

We always use bottled water with the boys, but as a safety net I keep rice in the motorhome. If they are having loose bowl movements, I add a bit of cooked rice with their dog food, seems to help. I love the pumpkin idea, must remember it.

RE: Re: Windows with moisture

I live in Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. I will try contacting a window place to see if they do it, but we like the idea of drilling small holes and drying them out. If that doesn't work, well I guess we will get new ones???

RE: Alcoa hub covers

Thank you for the information, I called Phoenix USA and am having one shipped to a destination in North Dakota as shipping to Canada is difficult. I will be driving down to pick it up there. I not only contacted all of the heavy truck places here, but a rv dealership, and only got negative responses. This works out without much hassle and the rv dealership in North Dakota is more than willing to hold the part for me.

RE: Keeping Mice & other Critters out of Motorhome

I use moth balls around the rig as well as many dryer sheets and bars of soap. Also, remove all food crumbs, toaster with crumbs, and wash out all food holding compartments. I haven't had a mouse yet and we store our mh in an indoor metal shed on a farm.

RE: Michigan to Yellowstone

Both the Black Hills and Yellowstone are beautiful, I would suggest first of all to book ahead in order to get a site. As you are driving, even if the road says it is scenic, DO NOT take your motorhome on the Bear Tooth Pass. Enjoy:)
