RE: St Tires VS LT Tires

The reserve capacity is an important factor concerning load capabilities, according to a Discount Store manager in the Houston area. Read the letter from Nuwa previously posted. I wouldn't hesitate putting XPS Rib 235x85R16 on the RV you mentioned. Do what your comfortable with. Thanks

RE: Upgrading my 5th wheel. Could sure use some help.

As the original OP, I greatly appreciate everyone's opinion. Time to do some serious shopping. I'm told I can usually do about 40% off MSRP with a little back and forth haggleing. Does that sound about right? Thanks guys.

Upgrading my 5th wheel. Could sure use some help.

I've had 3 5vers since 1991. I'm fixon to get my 4th and probably my last (it's that age thing). Looking at an Alpine by Keystone and a Big Horn by Heartland. These two are generally priced about the same and fits my budget. Any and all comments on either one of these is greatly appreciated, good or bad. I need all the help I can get. Many Thanks

RE: 5th wheel KingPin stabilizer - tripod -do they work

They look good, that's about it. I quit using mine years ago. Never saw any difference with or without. JMHO Thanks

RE: broken drawer rail retainer

I fixed this problem with new screws and a "wire tie" pulled snug around the plastic at the very back. Been good so far.

RE: Lifting the 5vr with "Spacer's" ?

I sort of ask before using the search on this forum. My mistake. The search has lots of info reference trailer blocks (spacer's). It's really confusing now, because some say you can't, some say you shouldn't, others say yes, they've done it and it works.

Lifting the 5vr with "Spacer's" ?

Can I lift my 5vr with a spacer (lift block), which is between the spring perch (connected to axle) and leaf springs? It's done often with trucks, but I don't know if it's done with trailers. It would be any easy way to lift a trailer a couple inch's, if needed. Any comments are well appreciated. Thanks

RE: how to convert rv to use a septic system

I did exactly what your talking about. I put in a septic system, power and water and had a really comfortable fishing camp on my lake property for 9 years. I bought an old 89 model TT and fixed it up. All I did was hook the hose up to some pvc pipe, put a trap in it and it works great.

Trailair Equa-Flex, problem, need advice?

I installed the Trailair Equa-Flex on my 5vr about a year ago. Worked really well for about 8000 miles, but now I'm seeing and hearing something that's not right. When parked and running the front jacks up or down the Equa-Flex makes a clicking noise (click, click, click). I also noticed when the click sounds a slight movement also happens in the Equa-Flex that corresponds with the click. I obviously hadn't noticed this when driving, only when parked. Has anyone seen or heard something like this? Could the bolts have gotten tighter? Any help is well appreciated. Thanks

RE: Need Advice on Denali

I've got a Denali 28RK. Bought it just under 2 years ago, new. Traveled over 10K miles and never had any kind of problem, other than a little adjustment here and there. Never been back to the dealer, no need to. You'll here all kinds of stuff about whatever RV your looking at. Just check it out good. I think their good units if taken care of. I've owned a Hitchhiker, Jayco, & Alpine over the past 20 years and I tend to like this one the best for our needs. JMO Thanks
