I would recommend the Barker 3500 or Atwood 3500. I would not recommend the Ultra Fab as it shered the pins three times in two years. Ultra Fab Office said they could only send me the new pins once and after that I would have to buy them from them. The jack was "junk". The jack was properly raised only so high.

We had Passports for two years and could only use once in that time. Tried to use in approx 14 Parks on the West Coast. Cal. Or. and Wash. All had excuses of
one kind or another. Yeah, its cheap to join but if you cannot use it its not worth two cents. JMO

I have never removed the sway bar to back up, make a sharp turn, in the rain or what have you in over 50 years of towing TTs and well over 100,000 miles of towing. Never bent the bar or the ball that the sway bar attaches to. I am not saying it cannot happen , It just has not happned to me

I have a 40ft 5th w that I got tired of towing and not being able to get into Ca St Parks and lot of other places so it is used as a rental here in Yuma. We really like to stay at 34 ft or 32 ft. I will never tow a 40 ft again

I have not missed shifting gears. I will never buy any thing other than automatic. I have been lic to drive for 60 years so I did my share of shifting the gears on my 36 Ford, 41 Ford, 46 Ford , 50 Merc etc hopefully never again

I have the 2003 V10 Super Duty with just under 70K nearly all towing a 34 ft TT. I get 7 to 9 towing and up to 15 on the Freeway empty. Not great around town.
Plenty of power . I had to replace the alternator and the breaks all the way around. Changed all the fluids, hoses etc when the alternator was done 15K
back. Still has the original battery. If I had a chance to buy the one you are talking about I would do so in a heartbeat. The best gas engine made IMHO

I have towed thousands of miles both with a canopy and other times without for fifty years or so. No difference at all. But I really like having every thing I haul in the bed of my TV under cover

Why not keep your Rv and rent a Park Model either in a Park or private lot here
in Yuma. Leave your RV home and fly out here to Yuma. Buy your self a cheap car then leave it here undercover if you can. Then you will have a car and a Park Model as there are a lot of them for rent for the season either in a Park or on a private lot. The ones on a private lot rent from $400 month up plus elect most of the time.

I might not be camping then as the kids will probable take my keys away. I remember in the 40s and 50s gas was 12 cents a gallon as we lived on a farm
but you had to buy 500 gallons which was delivered. Even then people would try to steal it from our holding tank and tractors etc

I have owned the Barker, Atwood and a Ultra Fab. The only one that I had problems with from day one was the Ultra Fab. I would highly recommend the 3500 Barker or Atwood

Since you have a short bed P/Up and a 8ft9 inch cab over I would leave the tailgate on with the 8 ft boards underneath. Thats the way I did it when I had the sb p/up

You might ask the same question in the TT Forum. My self, I have towed all types
of RVs in the 50 years of camping. Still have a TT and a 40 ft 5th w. I still prefer the TT over the 5th w as there are extra steps to climb in the 5th w and when you get up in age it is hard to climb the steps, bend under the 5th w to get to the forward storage. Plus I have to have room in my p/up bed for bikes,generators , firewood etc. As far as towing , I have no problem towing either. As far as storage the 5th w has more room but the DW packs enough for
6 people as it is plus she cannot reach the tall cabinets in our 40 ft 5th w
which is a good thing. But it is used as a rental here in Yuma now. No more towing it
