RE: at what point do you not need WD and or sway control

I would continue useing the EQ setup and also the sway bar. I have used both for many years and the sway bar really helps in the wind and when big Trucks pass etc

RE: Eaz-lift sway bar noise

Is it the ES Lift or the sway bar. If it is the sway bar you do not grease.
Take the sway bar off and see if the EZ Hitch still makes noise

RE: Water heater, elect or gas?

I have only run the water heater on propane once or twice in the last 5 years or so. Elect is free at Thousand Trails and the water is always hot

RE: Need advice on buying a F250 7.3

I was at a consignment lot an hour ago and there was a 99 F250 with the 7.3 eng
, really clean, one owner etc. I dont even need another TV but I thought it was a good price at $14,500 with 123K miles. I did not start it up or any thing.

RE: Towing with gasoline Class C

I had a Class C with the V10 and towed a Toy P/Up thousands of miles with no problems. The V10 is the best gas eng that I have ever owned. I have TT now
that I tow with a V10 eng

RE: When to stop camping,,,,

I am hoping we have another 10 years of camping and enjoying life. Any thing over that will be a bonus. 71 and 72 now. No medical problems for either of us

RE: electric tongue jack

I recommend a 3500 Atwood or several others except the Ultra Fab which lasted less than 2 years before shearing the pins. Elect jack would make a great Christmas present and very easy to install

RE: Ford F-250 V-10 vs. Chevy 6.0

I have a 03 Ford with the V10. Get 7 to 9 towing a 34 ft TT and around 10 around Town. Up to 15 on the Freeway at 70 to 75 MPH. I would get the latest model year that you can afford. I have had three TV with the V10 and it is by far the best gas eng that I have ever owned

RE: Question on Friction Sway Control

I tow a 34 ft TT and I have one sway bar. I have no sway problems. I have used sway bars for close to 50 years with very few problems. I have one of the expensive hitches that came with a 38 ft TT that I bought which I do not care for.

RE: Metal Carport (Lesson Learned)

I have a 40 ft metal with the rear all the way down and one side all the way down. One side is half way but I put up chicken wire and have IVY completely covering the wire. The front has the shade curtain that rolls up. I wish that I had made it wider so I could open the slides and work in the TT

RE: Newbie, Get two EU2000 or one EU3000

I had two new EU2000 which worked great but I had a chance to buy a EU3000 for the price of a EU2000. So now I run the 3000 in the back of my TV and just leave it chained down at all times. The elect start is great and in my opinion
the EU3000 is quieter than the two EU2000s. So I sold the two EU2000s for what I paid for them several years before. Then later I bought another EU2000 on Craigs List for next to nothing. I use the 2000 if I know I will not need A/C.
I really like the EU3000 but two EU2000s are great also. Your choice but you can not go wrong either way. I am in my 70s and I can handle the EU3000 weight

RE: TT camping while on the hook

I never unhook the TT from the TV if just over night or two nights. I never unhook the elect cable either. No problem with either in nearly 50 years of camping

RE: Destination Trailers or 5th Wheel?

I have a Park Model in Yuma that has two propane tanks, two A/C that do not sit
on the ground, has a RV type stove. It sits on one of my RV Sites permanently that I rent out.
I do move mine around some time from one site to another but not on the Freeway.
This is a 2004 model

RE: 5th wheel or TT Newbie

I have owned both, the TT and 5th w and I have a 34 ft TT at the present time
plus a 40 ft 5th w on my vacation lot. A TT will tow as well as a 5th w if properly equiped IMHO. The 5th w hitch was a PITA to take out plus it is heavy !! With you owning a 5.7 Tundra {which I owned one at one time,} I would stick with a TT
