RE: The 96 Monaco Exec I want to buy has Aged Out Tires...

Kind of hard to negotiate now that you accepted the sale price. As mentioned if you didn't give them any earnest money I suspect you could just walk away from the deal. Then again have you found anything in that price range that has interested you? If not and other coaches you have looked at are considerable more the tires might just be the cheaper investment. Just a thought.

RE: Would you Wax your RV?

Be carefull when you are on a ladder. As far as quantity of polish I use NuFinish and one bottle will do the motorhome two times. I usually make it a two day project.

Fuse Location

Friend of mine has a 2000 Newmar Dutch Star DP. Does anyone have an idea where the fuse would be located for the entry steps. They've decided to quit working.:(

RE: Can't Wait For College Football!

Well Bags, I'm sure you know who my favorite team is. It's way to early to come up with any predictions for them, for what they've been thru here the past few months. With the new staff coming in and the recruiting to get back on track it's gonna be a while before they can be competitive again. I hope for them sooner then later but only time will tell. That is a great University that was just handed a big blow but I'm sure they'll bounce back. WE ARE PENN STATE!

RE: Here we go again

I have to say it's much to early for this type of weather to be going on. Sure glad everything turned out OK for you and can only hope it stays that way.

RE: Joe Paterno: 1926-2012

Steve, I never saw Joe Pa smoke in public, but is it possible that he smoked cigarettes privately? I had two very good friends that had lung cancer and both had quit smoking years ago, but it was the chemo therapy that did them in! There is no way I would ever do chemo therapy!!! Never! Bags. Bags, Don't know if he smoked but I know of a few people that got lung cancer and never did smoke. My friends mom for one. I suppose the the chemo and radiation therapy he had going on took it's tole along with the rest that was going on in his life. Chemo, yeah that's something I probably would put on the back burner as well. Steve

RE: Joe Paterno: 1926-2012

Just woke up and read an article on foxsports.com and the hospital said the cause of death the spreading of his lung cancer! Its just shocking how fast everything happened! Hi Bags, My guess is that it was more then just the cancer. After taking the jolt that he took from everything that happened just more or less put an end to him. JMHO

RE: steering and handeling

If it's an 09 I doubt very much it sitting still for a year and a half has anything to do with the way it handles. You say you put new tires on it. Did they inflate the tires to the max? Over inflated tires will make the rig wander. As previously mentioned get it weighed and adjust the tire pressure accordingly. If you are loaded for a trip it might take reloading and balancing the load out differently but that can be determined after the weight check. Ours steers strait as can be. I'm not sawing on the wheel at all it tracks perfect. Now if your getting a swaying effect you just may need a larger swaybar but try some different other things before you start throwing money at it.

RE: Removal of bedroom TV?

I don't have a Dutch Star but first I removed the oak surround. The bottom of the tv had to be tilted up to get passed another piece of wood and slid straight out. It's probably a good idea to have a helper at this point, one keeping the tv tilted, the other with a strong hold on it and pulling it out. Not a lot of room to work with. It was a PITA till I figured out what was going on. Our tv was screwed down onto another piece of plywood that kind of sat in a tray in that cupboard. Hard to describe but we finally got it out. I removed the tv from that piece of plywood and put it back into the cupboard to act as a shelf for items we wanted to now store there. Replaced the oak surround, had a door made for the opening and secured the new flat panel tv to it. Works GREAT! Does the wood come out with the tv ? Yes it does. The wood is actually screwed to the tv from the bottom. On mine there was also a strap from the tv to the plywood for extra stabiblity I guess. Or maybe just to create a bigger puzzle as to how it all comes apart.:B
