Savannah is unfriendly to RV'ers

After many years of going to Savannah I'm not sure I want to go back...We went last wednesday and it was so crowded plus the campground on Tybee Island has become so high priced I can get a hotel room cheaper-Of course I know some will say to each his own preferences...Anyhow campgrounds were so high priced and there was so many people it was hard getting around...We had to leave Savannah to stay in a Walmart since Savannah City Law restricts rv'ers from saying in Walmart parking lots...Also no dogs are allowed on the beaches anywhere on the island...Anyhow it was a miserable trip trying to be in a city that didn't want you there unless you are willing to spend a bundle of money-any why not if there are going to be that many revelers at the St Patricks day festivities-someone will...In fact there was rv after rv headed there when we come back up I-16 toward macon.

RE: Does ethanol really reduce mileage?

Ethanol free gasoline is sold so buy it...If U'll google ethanol free gasoline U can find stations that sell it...U don't HAVE to buy ethanol gasoline. SUPPORT ETHANOL FREE GAS STATIONS.

RE: Chatham's RV enthusiasts fight for parking rights

Well I won't live in the city if they gave me a lot with a new house on it....Call me a redneck but why put up with laws like this.

RE: Owners of Casita, Scamp, etc

I pulled my little 13 ft scotty with my nissan pickup all over ga and to Datona Fla and north Fla and eastern Ala. It done ok but got me into some scary situations. Pulling is not the problem-stopping is...U got to be slow and careful...Mileage was great...W/O the camper my nissan got 28 mpg...With the camper I got 25 mpg...Lately I got a GMC 1500 and now I pull it and don't even know it there...The nissan was great when I got in tight spots 2 but I imagine it'll be different with the GMC.
