RE: Fluid leaking down inside front tire

Just checked it and yes it is low. To add do I just pop the rubber center out and add to the fill mark?
Vic
As I recall, and I could be wrong, mine had a slotted plug that could be removed with a large slotted screwdriver for refill.

RE: Hartford (AARP) insurance

Hartford was twice as much as Goodsam/ GMAC. Progressive was 3 times as much as GMAC. I haven't had a claim so I can't vouch for quality there. We tried the GMAC, they seem to take payments efficiently. :D
I've had the same experience with Hartford and Progressive. We are now with GMAC thru FMCA at a very attractive rate. They also allow you to suspend your collision if in storage but, that may depend on your finance co. if financed.

RE: Toad Tire lock up

That's one of the reasons I like the Ready Brake...no electronics, just simple cable that runs from the lever on the Ready Brake receiver to the brake pedal.
K.I.S.S. works best for me.

RE: Never Again, Camping World

When was the last a CEO came on a forum and said to contact him about your problems with his company. You'll never see that from the automakers or any of the big chain stores. Hats off to Mr Lemonis for acknowledging the little guys problems and trying to correct any mistakes mmade by his employees.
I've actually seen his posts before stepping in to help someone. I'm not a fan of Affinity Group or Camping World but he has stepped up many times before. I think he is a "hands on" CEO.

RE: Recommendations in a Direct TV dish. Follow up question

For easy of use, will work with your HD DVR's watch one, while recording another channel my choice would be the Winegard Traveler roof mount. Push a button, open a cold one and your watching TV. Not cheap, but neither was my RV.
I agree. Thought I'd save some money this year on buying it in Quartzite but, it turned out to be the same price as the net. Mine is Dish but about the same price. Guess I'll be putting up my Dish 1000 antenna on the tri-pod pole for awhile longer.

RE: Internet Set Up for Full Timers Who Work on the Web

I Just checked with Clear and they will not activate any new Mifi devices with 3G. 4G only, so definitely will not work for you.
Sidney
What network does Clear Spot use??
Thanks

RE: Rough ride

Wolfe10 is right on the money. Weigh your coach (4 corners) and check your tire mfg' ratings.

RE: House Battery Question

You might try "equalizing" em after replacing your converter/inverter. Might bring the batteries back to life.

RE: First test of the Splendide

Just sold mine. Got $350 for one 10 years old and gained a lot of storage space. The wash cycle was good but it wouldn't dry very well. We used the laundromat anyway.

RE: comparison journey 34t to monaco la palma 34 ppd

I was looking at a La Palma awhile ago and the tow capacity was only 5000 lbs. I believe the combined weight is in the area of 26000. You might not be able to tow what you stated in your post with that model.
The tow capacity of my Horizon 36' with the Cat 330 is 5000#. Used to tow a Malibu at 3200# and now tow an Xterra with weight of about 4500#. I can tell the difference. GVWR is 26800 and GCWR is around 32000# I think a 7000# trailer would really tax the 330. Maybe you should look for something else like an ISC or bigger.

RE: Shower water going into black tank?

If you look under the bathroom sink you will see the sink drain and the shower drain. You will also see the vent stack. In order to move the the sink drain to the gray tank, you will have to take the drawers and a good deal of the interior from the cabinet. The removal and replacement of cabinet part is the hardest part of the job. The sink drain can be moved to the vent stack that goes to the gray tank and old pipe capped. We did it on our Itasca Horizon 36RD
I have a diagram of the plumbing and on my 36LD, both bath, sink and shower go directly to the grey tank. IRV2 has links to plumbing and other schematics. Check em out.

RE: Satellite wobbles in wind

Yea, that works sometimes but that is a PITA. But when the dish faces rearward nothing to strap down to. Really looking for a fix, not a bandaid....thanks.
Mine wobbled too. Finally broke down and replaced it with a $400 refurb manual King Dome. Works great but now I have to replace it with something that receives HD. Lookin at a Winegard Traveller 1000.

Was a Travel Trailer guy for many years and finally made the move to a MH. Why did you sell it? What was your motivation to to go to a 5ver? I'm thinking of a class C or something that my wife can handle.

RE: Beware Dishnetwork

IMHO..these are nothing more than a cr@p shoot. We are seeing this more and more often with more companies than ever before. I am thinking with all the off shore "help" they are hiring, things are made up on the fly. I ran into almost the same situation with GMAC/GoodSam insurance. They wanted $300 cancellation charge. I was told it was their "policy", but not a WRITTEN policy. If it's not written, it doesn't exist, IMO, but they would not budge. Since I had paid in full they felt they could do this. I waited until they sent me my check, less the cancellation fee and contacted my CC company and did a chargeback. I would call them back and ask for page, paragraph and verse where it says in my contract they can do what they did. This should escalate the call to someone here in the USA.
I just love it when you ask for their name and they tell you in their best East Indian accent their name is "Joe".....:B:B:B:B......Dennis
Wow, I just bought Insurance from GMAC at a very good rate thru FMCA. What was your problem with them??

RE: TIRES

Michelin is #1 tire manufacturer in the world, Bridgestone #2. This summer I replaced my original 10 years old 245/75R19.5 GY G670 tires with Michelin XZE, made in the USA, fifteenth week of 2011. Much better tire than Good Year.
WOW, you got 10 years out of your GYs and your now slamming em?
