RE: What are States known for?

Don't forget to have some grits with your sausage and eggs for breakfast as you travel thru the south. As you travel thru southwest Louisiana be sure to have some boudin sausage.

RE: Transporting a Smart Fortwo car.

I see a big problem, there are no aux lights and the length of the car would conceal the RV lights. NOT a good situation, IMO. I don't have a picture, but the car was a little wider than the MH.

Real neat travel trailer.

I saw this at the Dome Road BLM, Quartzsite, AZ today. The picture does not show it, but the truck that tows it has the same type of structure on the back. I have passed by several times but I believe the owner is out gold mining or rock hunting by the looks of the equipment about the site. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-FieY2EuRVeQ/TzMR4LxKOAI/AAAAAAAAJHE/RlxuBLdORaU/s640/1%2520%25286%2529.jpg

Transporting a Smart Fortwo car.

I saw this today in Quartzsite, AZ. The owner was not around so I could not talk to him. I guess the weight of the car was no issue with tag axle on the Bus. I still think it might take some weight of the front axle. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-6NLCSekDrNk/TzMR2EksRdI/AAAAAAAAJG8/SwwmkArT05Y/s591/1.jpg

RE: Spoon down the toilet

I have to ask...What was the spoon made of? Ours are stainless steel and a magnet will not stick to them. Well, I guess I answered my own Question. Must be some sort of steel or iron.

RE: apache family campgrounds myrtle beach sc

I have stayed at Apache since 1975. Other than the pier, I think it is the same as the beginning. Close sites but you can get close to the Ocean. Granted there may be better, but Apache fits like a well worn shoe.

RE: Mountain Lakers RV Club

I have been wanting to take a 2 week visit to Mountain Lakes using my ROD membership. With only 30amp service, it will have to be a little warmer than it is now. At 3200 feet I guess it gets cool at night this time of year. How is the road going in? Are there really fish to be caught in the Lake? Pictures sure look good....

RE: Selling DP, new tires or not?

You might not be able to recoup the full amount you pay for the new tires, but to me a buyer, it would be a factor if I had to replace the tires after buying the RV.

RE: H20 Tanks how long

When I am boondocking/dry camping, the water in my tank can be there for 2 weeks before the tank gets topped off again. I fill up with water with what's available. If city water and I know that it's chlorinated, I use as is. If not, I will squirt a little bleach in the tank. And....I use this water for drinking.

RE: After Good Sam Rally in Phoenix Not Going Back To California

I would suggest that as you go east, veer off of I-10 at Van Horn, TX and take US 90 east. Plan spending the night in or around Marfa, TX so you can view the Marfa Lights. Then if time permits, take a swing down and visit Big Bend Nat. Park. OR...Continue on to Langtry, TX and visit the Judge Roy Bean Museum. You can spend the night for just a few dollars in the town park. Continuing east on 90 will take you to Brackettville, TX and the movie set of the John Wayne movie The Alamo. 90 will take you back to San Antonio.

RE: Be Our Guest---Resort Camping

The offer is being made by Western Horizons Resorts. You will have to sit in on a high pressure sales pitch. Take the offer if you can resist the sales pitch. I have.(and did not buy) Be up front. Tell the sales person you are only interested in the free offer. The meeting will not last long.

Reserve America has a list of all their parks. Some public, some private. Just enter Texas in the pull down window.
