RE: Highway 19 (Mountaineer Expressway)

A few steep grades up and down but a beautiful drive = you should have no problem with your MH - it is four lane with truck lanes and looks and feels like a interstate highway to me - do not know when it does not carry that designation.

RE: Unlevel hitch

The OP posted 7 topics all on the same day about his "brand new" motor home but on one of them forgot and said he had it for over a year. This whole thing stinks.

RE: Colter Bay at Jackson lake vs Riverside at Whistler

We stayed a riverside in the summer of 2010 we had 3 adults, it is a Woodalls 5/5 full hookup camground. It had a very nice natural grass very long miniture golf course. It is at the north end of the strip right in town. Mountain biking seemed to be the big thing to do. We also stayed that same summer at Coulter Bay in Grand Teton National park, it too was full hookup and a wonderful park. I wonder if you can even get in there for this summer as we booked almost a year out. I will let others comment on the locations for kids but I would pick the Tetons and not the campground in a ski city.

RE: Stackable vs. combo washer dryer

Have had a splendide vented unit and it was OK. Small loads and wrinkled clothes. Traveling friends had an unvented unit and did about the same job but took much longer to dry. They said they would never have another unvented one. We now both have stacked units and would never go back to a combo. Works just like "at home". If you have the room go for the stacked unit Had both stacked units is the only way to go.

RE: 50 AMP Surge Protector

If unit fails you are up a creek, I was strongly recommended by many not to hard wire.

RE: Easy Care Extended Warranty a RIP OFF and McGeorge's RV

I think you are very much overstating the problem, so with 3K in mileage you are canceling ? First post and a slam, seems to always work that way

RE: South Padre Texas KOA?

Just spent a week there in the premium row with a direct water view, very nice park we would go there again. I did not feel that the spots were too close to each other as we walked the whole park many times in the week we were there. The county park is big and packed.

RE: Winchester Va Camping World

Just wondering if it would be worth a 2 hour drive to go to this store I took about a 2 hour drive to CW then I got my first MH, it was good for me to see all that was available, got to talk to other customers in the store and learned much. Bought lots and learned.

RE: Wisconsin Dells summer 2012

If you are into KOA there is one there Actually I am into KOA but not this one with the train tracks across the street. The MH shook many times a day.

RE: Insurance, Travel Club/Road Hazard & Extended Warranty??

Extended warranty is a Chevy vs Ford thing strong opinions both ways I buy them because I am not handy. Like any insurance policy you are playing the odds. I have not read allot on here about them not paying off. Travel clubs and road service are not necessarily the same, it is just that Good Sam does have a road service service that is over and above the basic membership Good Sam travel club will pay for itself in camping discounts I have progressive insurance and it has many special RV riders, make sure you are comparing apples to apples as I do not know about state farm. Finally AAA road side service in my opinion is not for RV's Coach Net or Good Sam offers much more than a road service, again compare them to what AAA sends you. I have AAA on the cars and Coach Net for the RV

RE: Courtesy Car at Rv Parks?

I have never seen one, just resort areas like say San Antonio that have pickups for Sea World. We have logged 85 campgrouds in the past 3 years. I have never seen a full timer with out a car

RE: Banff?

We stayed a few days at Spring Creek campgrounds in Canmore while we visited that area. We went to Canmore to the vet while camped at Banff, it was 17 miles one way, I would not want to be there unless I could not get into the national park campground. As I recall magnusfide was looking for recommendations for a campground NEAR Banff. Your input was no help except to criticsize! Read my post above your first post then you can say you are sorry.

RE: Newbie here

I am not handy so not allowed by my wife to carry a tool box. Our insurance carrier USAA placed the MH insurance with Progressive. I have owned two Winnebago motor homes - you avoided allot of problems by buying a quality product.
