RE: 7 PRONG PLUG

Mine has a spring on it, but I also use a long twist tie around the lid and the plug when plugged in to be sure it does not come out.

RE: Question on 50 amp service

Yes. Walmart, Camping World and lots of other places carry them. Commonly called "dogbone"..

RE: Pre-trip bug treatment

Remove the bugs easily with a dampened "dryer sheet" such as Bounce. The bugs come right off will little effort.

RE: Question on Dometic RM2354

If it is totally empty, it will take even longer. I keep a couple quart milk jugs that I put in the freezer when I turn it on. Seems to speed up cooling a little, but still takes overnight to get really cool and in summer, sometimes longer than that.

RE: Electrical Problem

You are not going to be happy with 110 (20 amp service) for a camper that size.

RE: Slide awning in the rain

Go anywhere Beach Ball are sold. Get one or two and inflate them and stick them under your awning to prevent sag. Water will run right off. Easy fix.

RE: holding tank treatment

All you need in the tanks is water. Enough to keep anything from solidifying and enough to "flush" rapidly when dumping. Then run some more water in and dump again if you don't have tank sprayers. No chemicals are needed as this is a holding tank not a septic tank. You might just add some Calgon water softener to help the water along.

RE: How do all the tanks work?

If you are very conservative with water use, you should be ok for one weekend. If not, then you will have to go to the dump station and dump. You could get a "blue tote" to dump grey water into, and just take that to the dump station. Good luck.

RE: UHF antenna problem

As enbhethen noted, last year over-air transmission of analog tv signals was halted in favor of digital signals. Your old antenna can;t pick up the digital, but wingman might work for you.
Then, how come my old winegard batwing pick up the digital just fine?

RE: Ready for a change of RV

There are several charitable organizations that accept RVs and motor vehicles. Thus tax deduction. Probably your best bet.
