RE: Crossing into Canada and saving the Vegetables

Got a question about pet food. What and how much can you take across the border into Canada?

RE: Crossing into Canada and saving the Vegetables

With the shotgun, did you have to go through US Customs going out of the US and then Canadian Customs going into Canada?? I think I'm confused!!!! We need to know, as we will be taking a shotgun into Canada in June on our way to Alaska.

RoadMaster InvisaBrake

Anyone using the new "InvisaBrake" by RoadMaster? Looking for a supplemental braking system that you don't have to take in and out all the time. Thanks

RE: GM Dingy Caution

OK folks, looks like we have this resolved. Went to the dealer yesterday, who did extensive research with GM/Buick on this and found out our 2012 Buick Lacrosse is towable four wheels down, but only those models with the V-6 engine and the 6T70/75 transmission,(RPOs MH2, MH4, MH6, and MY9). This is according to GM/Buick Document ID:2742716/#PIP4973A. Our's has the MH2 transmission. The loose supplemental page I found in the owners manual only pertaines to the Lacrosse 4 cylinder model with E-Assist. Our sales person bent over backwards to get this sorted out and did a great job, including providing us with the documentation from GM/Buick to ease our fears. Great customer service and I'm sure glad we purchased the car where we did.

RE: GM Dingy Caution

We have contacted both the Dealer and Buick Customer Service and expressed our dissatisfaction over this matter. We are now waiting for them to "get back to us". Will keep posting until this is resolved. My thoughts right now are that I better start looking for a good tow dolly. Anyone have any good suggestions for a dolly as we have never towed with one, only four down. Suggestions will be appreciated.

GM Dingy Caution

Be careful with GM vehicles for dingy towing! After researching to find a new vehicle, we decided on a new 2012 Buick Lacrosse. Everything we found, including the dealer, the owner's manual and all info on previous models indicated we could tow this car four wheels down. Well, guess what! Buick now says you CANNOT tow this vehicle four wheels down, only on a dolly. After we purchased the car and drove it home (great car, by the way) and sat down to read the manual, we found a supplemental page just stuck loose in the back of the manual that states: "this vehicle is not designed to tow four wheels down and must be towed on a dolly" This page superscedes the manual. What a huge disappointment!

RE: Considering an Allegro RED

Our Winnebago Journey 34Y has the same engine and trans as the Red. We tow a Acura TL, about 3600 lbs with no problems. Pulls the hills fine and gets great mileage. On our 7000 mile summer trip, pulling the Acura the whole way and using the generator (to run the A/C's while going down the road)we averaged 9.5 mpg.

Toad lights

Need a little help with my toad lights. Don't have them anymore. Checked power at the motorhome connector plug and there is no power with the motor home lights on. A sticker in the electrical bay says " chassis manufactures electrical components and rear fuse panel located under left rear valance door". What and where is the "left rear valance door? I have called both Winnebago and Freightliner and both were no help, they each pointed at the other one for an answer. I have looked everywhere for the rear fuse panel and cannot find it. Any help will really be appreciated. Thanks.
