RE: humidity while not in use?

I live in Florida where the humidity is high, especially in the summer. I have never done any thing to deal with humidity in any of the trailers I've owned and never have I experienced mold problems.

RE: Evergreen Ever-lite TT's

We have had our 2010 29FK for almost two years and are very happy with it. We towed it about 15,000 miles so far and had a couple of minor problems that were quickly resolved. The best feature,in my opinion is the absence of wood in its construction. I have owned three trailers in the past, including the highly praised Sunline. All units were purchased new and well maintained and all developed leaks that resulted in wood rot. The peace of mind knowing that there is no wood to rot, should a leak develop is well worth the extra cost of an Evergreen.

RE: Sunline Travel Trailers

SUNLINE FAN WROTE While it does sound like some of your issues were Sunline related and it sounds like it was a lemon, you could experience some of the issues on your EverGreen and many other RVs too. The fender issues can happen with any RV when a blowout occurs. It's common for RV manufacturers to send out patch tape for underbelly material, new inner fender wells, and fenderskirts. In northern Indiana, very close to where your EverGreen was built, the two big plastic component manufacturers haul fenderskirt molds to and from all of the factories in the area. Many of the manufacturers are always having replacement skirts made, and going back for units 20+ years old sometimes. I would agree that the '06-'07 fenderskirts, while they looked very nice and better than the previous narrow style, they were/are much more fragile and can be damaged by a tire issue much easier. But the reality is, with any steel belted tire that shreds, it'll tear up the plastic parts around there. There just aren't many galvanized fender wells around anymore. The refrigerator issue has nothing to do with Sunline and is 100% an issue with Dometic. Probably a control board if I had to guess, as it sounds like an electronics issue. The vent cover issue can happen with any RV. Since you're in Florida, the trailer was probably exposed to a lot more heat and sun than the northern climate trailers. The sun just destroys the plastic parts, and on any RV. That's why RV dealers stock so many of these vent covers, because they just don't last very long. If I had to guess, a Florida trailer probably sees the sun deterioration in five years that a northern trailer would see in nine or ten. The Mission tires supplied with sunline did not damage the fender skirts,The plastic used to make them started to break down months after I took delivery of the Sunline. The fenders on my Evergreen look as good as new. The vent covers on my Evergreen are holding up well so far. The rot that resulted from a leak in the Sunline will not happen in the Evergreen because there is absolutly no wood in its construction. I failed to mention in my original post that there was an issue with the front frame header buckling. So much for Sunline quality.

RE: Sunline Travel Trailers

I'm sorry to say that I did not have a positive experience with my 2006 T2499 which was purchased new. I was caught in the hype re: Sunline quality, however mine had a leak that damaged the floor. I suspect the leak was there from day one. By the time I discovered the leak, damage was done and Sunline was out of business and I was on my own. I brought it to three independent repair shops. They were unable to find the leak. This problem along with 2 Mission tire blowouts, fenders made with inferior material,a fridge that ran on gas when it wanted to and vent covers that turned to powder, prompted me to trade it for a Evegreen Everlite. This trailer has no wood in its construction. The four walls, roof and floor are made of composite material which can be submerged in water for an extended period with no damage. Other manufacturers are starting to build with this up to date material. Good luck
