RE: Passport America.... to join, or not??
We only go for 5 months and we feel it is certainly worth it. Pays for itself very shortly. We had trouble with one campground not honouring PA and Passport Americca extended our membership for the extra we paid. Well worth it!

We went to Florence, Arizona this year......Desert Gardens. Lots of activities, pool, spa, stained glass, quilting, ancestry etc. Big lots. We liked it but got sick of the grit. Nice comfortable temperatures. Cycling was good.

RE: Best route from San Antonio to Toronto
We go to Texarkana and stay at Shady PInes RV park. Then Marion, Illinois and stay at Marion Campground. Auburn, Indiana and stay at Fireside Kruse Resort and then in to Port Huron, Michigan and over to Toronto. All these campgrounds are open all year, close to the highway, and decent.

Canadians using portable internet service in the USA?
Getting tired of using park WiFi's or some parks don't have WiFi. What works best for us Canadians that are in the US for a couple of months and want to have our own internet?

Exactly stubblejumper. Got renewal for green Health card down here.
To renew, need three forms of documentation plus a photo at a Service Kiosk. Don't see anywhere were it says you can have an extension.
Just wondered if anyone else had the same thing happen and what they did.

No it is the Ontario Health Card Renewal Notice that comes due on your birthday and is sent two months prior. So if your birthday is in March, it is sent out in January.

Just got by mail forwarding that OHIP is up for renewal. We would need a 2 1/2 week extension before we go home. Anybody have any experience with this?

Thank you pianotuna. Didn't realize that about Woodall's. Checked it out and there are none on our route.
Maybe what I should post is ......are there truck stops etc. along the 400 or 17 north that people park at at the end of March?

in Ontario along #400 and then north of Barrie on #11?

Fuel station asking for Zip codes and we are Canadian
This works. Take your postal code ie. P3E 3R8 ..... take the numbers 338 and add two zeros 33800 put in as zip code. It
won't compromise the postal code on your credit card and it satisfies the US zip code request.

Sitting in the back row of the campground and grinding my teeth.
My laptop works barely and the signal is two bars. Who has a great WiFi booster and how does it work? grrrrrrrrrr

Lady Bird Johnson park in Fredericksburg golf course closed down January 2012 to July 2012 for revamping. There isn't a restaurant at the park but there is the airport one nearby.

We are at Desert Gardens in Florence, Arizona. There is a two mile parameter around the park that is beautiful to walk dogs. The sites ae large. I hear people going out to golf. Check out the website.

Maybe out of your way but look up Goldstrike CAmp and the address is listed as San Andreas, California. We liked it. Cosy, quiet, lots of trees and friendly people. Reasonable rates.
