That probably means they are not offering the "2nd day free" deal this year.
Wonder what "or $15 per carload" means?
If everyone goes, we will need to take 3 vehicles, we thought we might use our son's Excursion, but would still need 3 vehicles for all, so we'll probably just use the trucks/cars.
I say we take our truck and jam everyone in the bed wit the cap on. We'll get our $15 worth. :B

The mailman/woman brought me a letter from Marcua Lemonis,Chairman and CEO of the Good Sam's Club. He enclosed a coupon for $5 off a 1 day admission to "The Rally." Good Thursday thru Sunday.
Becareful not to throw it out because it looks like junk mail.

Try Benner's Meadown Run CG in Farmington. It's off US 40. It's about an hours drive to Pittsburgh on Route 51. Or you could use the new toll rode, Route 43. It will take about 45 minutes but no lites.

We stayed at Chippokes Plantation . It's across the James River in Virginia. It's about a 10 minute ride from the CG to the ferry. Ferry is free. We loved it there. Sites are water & electric. There's an awesome pool. It's a working planation.

How do you adjust a slide out?
I'm hoping that someone can help.
We have a Keystone Sprinter TT and want to know if we can adjust our slideout ourselves or does it need to go in for service?
Our 1st trip out this year and we noticed a bolt on the ground under the slide. Let's just say that when we went to put out the slide, only 1 side would go out. We fixed that problem but putting a new bolt in but now the slide seems out of square in the hole.
So can it be adjusted? and how do you go about doing it?

RE: Busch Gardens in Williamsburg Va.
My DH & I are not amusement park people but we really enjoyed Busch Gardens. There's more to see & do then just ride rides. We really enjoyed the Bald Eagle exhibit and the wolves exhibit. Watch River Dancing in one of the countries.
You don't say how old you are. :B but I would like to recommend the water park next door. Now there we had so much fun. We would of done 2 days if we had had more time.

RE: what is the best CG in Pigeon Forge with FH?
We stayed at Clabough's in April '05. We thought it was a really nice CG. In fact, we are planning on staying there this Aug for a week.
Check out RV Reviews . Then you can read about several CG's. Just remember that what 1 person finds fault in is not what another would. We have read reviews and scratched our heads as to why they thought it was bad or good depending.

1st I googled where Bowerston, Oh is and to my surprise it s near New Philadelphia. I 'm thinking since you have several children that Wood's Tall Timber's CG might be a good choise. They have a really nice swimming lake & beach. Prices are reasonable for full hookups. New this year is a Zip Line. It's also located near the eastern side of Amish Country.
If you camp there, you definetely need to go to the Warther's Museum.
Salt Fork State Park is about an hour south of Bowerston, Oh on I77. And there is a pool and a swimming beach.
And to the east of New Phil (about 1 1/2 hrs) you can canoe the mighty Mohican in Loudonville. Really enjoyable day trip. But plan on getting wet. Lots of low places wher you have to carry the canoe. No white water.

Has anyone been to River's Edge in Pennsylvania?
We are considering spending a few day at River's Edge this summer.
Read the reviews on RV Review but would like any personal input about this cg.

Take a day trip to Ft Morgan. It's the most interesting fort I've very seen.
And you have to see Naval Musuem and the lighthouse in Penscola. Both well worh the visit.

You won't go wrong staying at MBTP. We absolutely love it.
However, the traffic in July is a nightmare. More in late afternoon & evening.
There is a Wal-mart not more than a mile from the CG but I would recommend waiting to shop on a week day. Sat & Sun grocery shopping is a joke. You can't even push your cart around.
We like eating at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville for lunch while there. (we prefer lunch out over dinner because of the crowds). We also like going up North towards the "Little River Area". Ate at a place called Crab Catchers. very good and prices were reasonable.
As for directions, we have tested a few different routes.
We travel from Ohio and have found this route to be our favorite.
--from Rockingham take I-74 to US 401 S
--cross state line into SC and take US 9 S to SC 31 S
--then take SC 22 E to the King Road exit on the left
--turn right onto King Road
--MBTP will be about .7 mi. on your left. Be sure to drive pass the building before you turn in. i.e. 2nd driveway.

it was a yellow cake mix made with 4 eggs, 1/2 cup oil and a whole can of mandarin oranges with juice - bake at 350 degrees for 35- 40 minutes.
Frosting was a large tub of cool whip, mixed with a small vanilla instant pudding dry, and a can of crushed pineapple drained.
Keep in frig.
Kathy, you can't leave me hanging....bake is 9 x 13 greased pan? at what temp? for how long? :B
I'm hungry too. And this sounds soooo gooood.
