RE: Need a place to stop in the NY fingerlakes area

We have stayed at Camp Bell Campground in Campbell, NY, which is off I-86, Exit 41. It was clean, and can hold big rigs, not sure what you are traveling in. It is near Watkins Glen and Corning.http://www.campbellcampground.com/

I also recommend www.fortfiends.net/forumThey have many trip reports, plus many, many pics of all the facilities. They helped a lot when I planned my trip this past November.

RE: best route to fortwilderness

Can't help you with where to stop, but have heard good things about Coastal RV Park in Brunswick, GA http://coastalgarvresort.com/. Also, I-295 around Jacksonville is a nicer ride than 95 through J-Ville a lot less traffic, we go the eastern route which used to be 9A, which just got renamed to I-295. Second I don't recommend taking a right into Fort Wilderness, it is a tight turn, easier to go through the main gate, right and than left into the Fort, plus I like going through the main gate. Just my 2 cents.

RE: FT. Wilderness

Go to fortfiends.net for anything you want to know about Fort Wilderness and more. They have a lot of Trip reports, pictures etc. Also, if you decide to go down 95 to 4, I recommend going around Jacksonville on 9A. It is simple on and off 95 and a lot nicer ride than going through J-Ville. I stopped at Exit 3 in GA and the Fort was about 3.5 hours from there. There are a couple campgrounds along 95 in that area. We got to the Fort at 11Am and waited an hour for our site to be ready, worked out great. Have fun!

RE: A Hybrid in FL in late June?

We have a pop up and we have a tower fan that I put on a counter to help move the air around and that works to keep everything cool. Bunk fans would help too, if you don't have them.

RE: Traveling through Baltimore

It seem shorter to go east on RT.695, after going over the bridge can I then take the remainder of RT.895 to get back to RT.95S as a short cut?
Yes. I jump on the Baltimore Washington Parkway which drops you down a little further on 495.

RE: fort wilderness plans

Personally, for a 5 day trip park hoppers are a waste of money for kids that young. We went in November with my 3 & 4 year old daughters and we basically did a park a day, and we didn't even go to Hollywood Studios. We did MK the first day, AK the second, and than Epcot the third day and the only reason we did that, was becuse we had reservations for the Princess Breakfast in Norway. Thursday we were back at MK. We used Sunday to explore the campground and DTD and left on Friday.
Naps may be needed and depending what you do for meals, I think you'll run out of time.

In that area we usually stay at Camp Bell Campground in Campbell. NY. A liitle outside of Corning, but cheap and nice little campground. http://campbellcampground.com/

RE: Help in picking camper

We are looking at Hybrids as well, we have looked at the Roo's, Coyote, and Starcraft, and the biggest thing that stands out to me is that the Forest River models don't have 50/50 matresses, they have 60/40 or 70/30 and sooner or later, someone is going to end up in the fold. That was a big turnoff, and we have narrowed down to the Starcraft 229TB and the KZ Coyote 22CTS.

RE: Campground near Langhorne, PA.

I've stayed at Ringing Rocks and it is a nice campground. Nothing special, but they do have water and electric hook ups. The Crayola Factory is also close to Upper Black Eddy as well in Easton, PA.

RE: Boooking Disney-- Do we need to know all our plans

Where did you go to book your site or did you call them?
You can book here online---
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/
The OP probably booked over the phone. I don't think you can reserve online that far out.
You can book online or the phone 499 days out. As of today, you can book to 12/30/13

RE: Downsizing from a Class C @ 7.5 MPG

The unloaded weight is meaningless, it doesn't include the propane, battery, A/C etc, you want to go by the GVWR of 3300#. In the 3200# towing capacity, you have to include the trailer, plus gear, plus people. You will be over the limit. Try livinlite.com

RE: Pilot Discount Fuel Program Issue

Here is what I got when I googled:
Pentagon Federal Credit Union ABA Routing Number
Routing Number:256078446
Pentagon Federal Credit Union
P O BOX 1432
ALEXANDRIA, VA 22313
Pentagon Federal Credit Union's routing number (the leftmost number on the bottom of a check) is 256078446.
Is this correct? Now if they were asking for my bank account number, that would be a different story.

RE: Fort Wilderness in August Recommendation

The 1500 and 2000 loops are not full hook ups and are pop-up/tent loops. For good info on the Fort try www.fortfiends.net Ask any question and usually someone knows the answer. There are also a lot of trip reports with pictures of the campground.
