RE: Oxygenics shower head

I have one and it is great. They come in chrome, white, and bronze. The thing I like about it is that it gives a good feeling shower and only uses 1 1/2 gallons per minute regardless of the pressure feeding it. I always use the water from the tank instead of the "city water" hookup and with my shur flow smart sensor pump it works the same each and every time, I can set the faucets the same each time. Here is a link to one.
Oxygenics
I determined the GPM by turning the shower on full blast, using a stop watch, flowed it into a bucket and ran for one minute. At the end of one minute, took the shower head out of the bucket and measured the water, it was exactly 1 1/2 gallons. Had mine for at least 5 years.

RE: Onan 5500 gold overfrenquency fault

Just another thought, you can get a "Kill a watt" and plug it in to an AC outlet and then read the voltage and then read the frequency all from the same place inside the RV with the genny running. It can also be used when on shore power at a RV park to check the same thing,. Here is a link to what a kill a watt is.

RE: Charging Car Battery with Honda eu1000i

As I read the post, the OP wants to charge the CAR battery, not the trailer battery. Start the Genny and after it runs a minute or so, plug your battery charger directly into the genny and hook the charger up to the car charge away.

RE: onan 4000 charging battery but not running a/c

Also check on the generator for a tripped breaker. There are normally two on a generator, turn them both off and back on again.
I agree, one breaker that serves the Convertor, (Battery Charger) is probably OK but the second breaker on the generator that runs another circuit, the Microwave ect. might be tripped. take the cover off the gen set and check those breakers, turn them both OFF and then back ON

RE: Onan 5500 gold overfrenquency fault

Try putting a load, run an appliance, on it after 2 minutes instead of 10 minutes and see what happens. You say it shuts down after 10 minutes without any load and gives the over frequency fault code.
I think frequency is adjusted by speed of the engine as posted above but you need a preset load and frequency meter to set it up.

RE: Any free data base programs to recommend?

Also, if you have Word, you may very well have Microsoft Access - a database program that somes bundles in some versions of the Microsoft Office suite. Microsoft applications play very nicely with other Microsoft applications, and mail merge will certainly work from Access to Word.
I would hope not. If he knows enough to WANT a database program and believes that he is capable of USING a database program, then he would surely know if he HAS a database program (Access). The only way to get Access is by buying a significantly more expensive edition of Office; for which you get Access and Publisher.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/buy/office-2010-which-suite-is-right-for-you-FX101825640.aspx
Bingo. I bought a new lap top in December, it came preloaded with "Office" but only for a 30 day trial. I bought a "Product key card" for "Office home and Student 2010" thinking that was what I needed to open office up, but I did not do my homework, Office for home and student does not include "Access", just Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and one note. Access is loaded on my puter but the trial period is over and it will not open without an upgrade, which at this point I do not want to pay for. So being new to "Office' I guess I will investigate using Excel for a Data Base as mentioned by another poster in an above post. Any hints on using Excel for a data base would be appreciated. I learned on Microsoft WORKS a long time ago so there is a new learning curve for me. Thanks again for all your help.

Any free data base programs to recommend?

I am looking for a free data base program, something that will work with Microsoft Word for mail merge. Any suggestions? Thanks

RE: Windows rattle

The OP posted 7 topics all on the same day about his "brand new" motor home but on one of them forgot and said he had it for over a year.
This whole thing stinks.
I have to agree with you. The OP also posted that the map light broke on the brand new Itasca just after the warrenty ran out. Must have been a 30 day warrenty. Here is the quote
Quote
"The LED map light on my brand new Itaska failed after about five hours of use and just after the warranty expired." Un Quote.
I too beleive we have a troll. Bye Bye

RE: Towing a car with a wheel lift on a Workhourse frame

I think that if you look underneath and see how long that frame extension is from the rear axle to where the hitch receiver is welded to the frame, you will come to the conclusion that it is not strong enough and probably a bad idea. I would never do it.

RE: Looking for good Campground in CA

Most RV parks with hook ups usually do not allow tents. Will search my resources and maybe come up with some recomendations. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion where they do allow tents.
State and forest service camp site usually only allow 8 people per camp site, and RV parks rates are set and based usually on 2 people per site and add $$$ extra for each additional person. Good Luck

RE: Why does grilled cheese sandwiches stick in the pan?

I use mayonaise, on the side that touches the frying pan, on my grilled cheese sandwiches and they come out perfect. Just spread thin and evenly on the bread and cook the same way.
Country Crock is your problem in my estimation

RE: California Campgrounds Closed Till June 1?

I agree that this is a Federal campground and not a state of california camp, so the state has nothing to do about it. Looks like they don't have a contractor to run it would be my guess.

RE: rear levelers won't deploy

Parking brake ON? Should be in Park and the brake ON and engine running.
Also turn the Pad switch off and back on again just before you want to use them. If turned ON and left alone for a while with no action, they will "Time Out" and shut the panel off. Good luck

RE: water dripping from generator exhaust

CA Traveler- I just changed the fuel filter last month. 10 hrs on new fuel filter and spark plug.
Yes you changed the filter 10 hours ago, but maybe you got some bad gas since then and plugged it again. Just a thought

RE: Death Valley Campgrounds?

Well your concern about generators, they are allowed at Sunset and at Stovepipe wells but only between the hours of 7 A.M. and 7 P.M. and they do enforce those times. So after 7 at night, you don't have to worry about that. There are 270 sites at Sunset which is just across the road from Furnace creek ranch. From there it is an easy drive to Golden canyon, Bad water, Artist's drive, Zabrinksy point, Salt creek where the pup fish are, ect. The campground at Stove pipe wells has 190 sites and is a good spot to explore Moziac Canyon, the sand dunes, Scotty's castle, Uehebe crater, race track, ect.
Now there are 14 full hook up sites at stovepipe wells run by a private concession company. It used to be first come first served when it was run by Xantara, but there are new concessionares that might take reservation. Google Stove pipe wells motel if you are interested. As stated in above post, Furnace creek campground, my favorite, is closed for remodeling. The visitor center has a temporary location as the old center is also being remodeling. As for the water and sewer, they are availble at both camps and as far as I am concerned the water tastes good to me. Here is a link to th edeath valley web site to help you.
Death Valley
Another hint, fill up on fuel outside the park before you go in. Which way will you be cominh in from? Fuel in Pahrump Nevada is about the best price. Fuel inside the park is available at Furnace creek chevron, at over $5.00 a gallon, and at STovepipe wells, but don't know the price but it will be high also.
I found the site for stove pipe wells hotel. When it comes up, click on Hotel to find out about the RV park

RE: water dripping from generator exhaust

One thing, when you start any gen set, let it run for at least 1 hr with at least 1/2 load. In the winter I use a space heater for a load and the AC in the summer for a load. I do this every 30 days. If you are just starting it for a few minutes and then shut it off, you are doing more harm then good. I would bet that after running for 1 hr, the water out the exhaust will be gone.
