RE: Ninth Annual RV.net Class B Rally (B9) May 18-20, 2012

Magnumiii... Hi, I've been to every rally and I can tell you the weather is not an issue for a successful rally. Rain (B2), shine, heat (B3),it's always a good time. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: fulltimer modifications

Here's an idea that may help solve some of your problems.... In most areas there are insulation companies that can retrofit older homes with foam insulation. They make a small hole in the inside wall, then shoot in a non expanding foam which fills the void between the inside and outside wall, then sets in place. Maybe something like that would do the trick for you. You might even be able to insulate your tanks that way. Just a thought. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: Class B cabover?

You didn't say if you were looking for new or preowned. A lot of B's from different mfgs in the 90's had cab over beds. I've had 3 and those beds were about 54 by 74. The last to build was Great West Vans. Sportsmobile also made them, and they sometimes have used ones, go to their website to find a listing of their excellent products. Some can be seen on this forum at "post your b sightings here." john 'I am Canadian'

RE: Where do you put your Mr. Heater?

I carry a small step stool to aid in getting in and out of my rig and I put the heater on that. It sits in the area where you enter in by the side door, or in between the driver and passenger seats. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: Newbie questions: water and boon docking

A good place for a few hours sleep at night is the nearest police station, safe and quiet. For CGs I like Passport America, CGs are 1/2 price. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: Mattress for a class B coachmen camper van

Hi ... I have one of those. I left it home so it didn't get destroyed in the fire last year. It's actually 3 separate pieces, about 2 feet wide each, and about 1 1/2" thick, upholstry on 1 side and vinyl on the other. Not joined together except by the sheets. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: AC - DC Fans

Actually, I am that old. As was said by the great country singer Bill Carlisle "Too old to cut the mustard." But I still prefer classical, I was raised on it, I have to keep listening to it because I forget everything... 8-( john 'I am Canadian'

RE: COACHMAN VAN QUALITY??

An important thing to look at is how old is the fridge. If it's an original then it needs to be replaced, or will soon. Also, how old is the roof air? Again, if it's original it will need to be replaced soon. Fill the tanks with water and look for leaks... especially the water heater, these are expensive to fix. Age is a killer in these types of things. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: Ninth Annual RV.net Class B Rally (B9) May 18-20, 2012

HI Va poor boy I would suggest that if you attend the rally that you plan on using your own shower and bathroom. Then you'll be free to enjoy the rally and the fun and not worry about the CG BRs. john 'I am Canadian'
