RE: What is Monaco thinking??

Although I agree the website shold be updated, as far as front and rear caps, look at the Camelot, that is just nasty. The old style is much more appealing to my eyes

RE: Driving Snow - Ok or no way?

Don't know about your gasser, but my DP handles great in the snow. The weight of the engine over the rear wheels is a big plus IMO. Know your capabilities and go from there.

RE: Maybe I should have bought a A instead of a 5er?

Actually most of the larger fivers have more living area than an A. The other side of the coin is set up is a pain and you have a bigger truck to ride around town in, you have to stop to pee and cook. JMO

RE: Should I be worried

It is not like that happened on one trip, you just noticed it because the wheels were turned a certain way, relax, when you get home or a tire place you trust have them check it out!

RE: Slobber tube on a Cat 330

Cat made two different oil pans for the 3126, the stamped metal is the 19 qt. and the finned one is 22 qt. As Brett said, call Cat w/engine serial # and find out for sure!

RE: DP front wet wheel bearing adjustments

My thoughts are, if you are capable, jack up the front axle, give the wheel a good spin by hand and push and pull on the top of the tire when it stops, if there is movement, the bearings need tightened. Doin that is a step left to profesionals, because it requires torgue wrenchs and axle specific procedures.

RE: Front Wheel Oil Leak

If it were me and the shoes are soaked, I would replace the shoes, the metal doesn't absorb oil bit the brakes shoes themselves do and will stink like burnt oil every time you use them. Not to mention labor wise it would be cheaper to replace than clean. Not sure what he means by cleaning and aligning the other side, that makes no sense. I would say maybe the bearing free play should be checked on the other side, that is what normally causes premature seal failure.

RE: Where to buy a spare wheel?

I feel sure yours are hub piloted, and Southwest Wheel in Texas is about as good as it gets for price and availability, If was buying a spare, I think i would buy steel ,normally they are much more economical

RE: Monaco/Holiday Rambler parts

Just sayin when I ordered parts for my coach, the parts fellow told me they have most anything I want on hand and will sell direct to me. Sorry you have to wait for parts, but I guess they can't have them all there!

Monaco/Holiday Rambler parts

Just a FYI, you can buy parts now direct from Monaco/HR. We could back before the shake up and after trying 2 dealers here in Fl and getting no response I gave them a call and they are back in the retail business. Have your part # or your coach vin and they are glad to help!
